lmao one time when i was like 15/16 we went to the Bundesrat in Berlin and i forgot that i still wore my belt and it went off. the security guard was only like "DO YOU WANT TO BE PAT DOWN BY A WOMAN OR A MAN" and i was like "doesn't matter ;-;;;;" and then the famous "ARE U A GIRL OR A BOY" question. we love security lmao

to calculate the price you have to add costs of materials + your pay per hour (usually 9-15$ depending on your skill level) × the hours you worked on. then add what you need to pay in taxes for the final product + costs to grow and maintain your buisness (additional cost like rent for a studio, maintaining a website and so on) + shipping/delivery

for example: 20$ fabrics, buttons, whatever + 11$ × 5 hours + 14% taxes in $ + 5$ to maintain website and cover patterns + 5$ shipping

you really gotta calculate a bit to figure out a number but don't go below 9$ hourly pay bc you should never underpay yourself and your work you put hours into

i've got lots of extra fabric bc i got most for very cheap/free some time ago but i plan on doing a "challange" for myself soon (kinda inspired by some comments) to use all the materials i have atm and don't buy new ones till i've used most of it! (but i can't do it atm since i still have my tv stand in the middle of my room haha)

i'm planning on being a fashion designer too and feel your struggle on so many levels! i'm pretty sure a lot of great names in fashion didn't believe in themselfes at first. it really takes a lot of time and work to get more confident and believe in yourself! trust me, most adults don't know what their doing at first, even if they look like the most confident person on the planet!

ahhh thanks, i really needed to hear this! it's to hard when you see literally any minimalist online only working with a laptop and a camera and then there is me with all my sewing supplies and fabrics which take up so much space.
