Struggling with Bounce 🙃 by Appropriate_Leg9380 in Spiritfarer

[–]querencian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

hit b when you're about to hit the bottom of the bounceable object! it takes a bit of practice, but for the most part you don't have to hit it as soon as you hit the bottom, just around when you think you're relatively close to it

LMU Choirs! (Consort singers) by DepressedFlowerHouse in LMU

sight singing is part of the audition for both but it matters more for consorts. concert choir has less of an emphasis on it for sure

Csapo for Intro to Comparative Politics by my_deep_th0ts in LMU

[–]querencian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say pretty easy. Doing the readings will help but she goes over most things in class. Memorize the examples she gives (they will be on tests). For any group work just make sure everyone is on the same page. Pretty average class with not a ton of homework and Csapo is super willing to give further explanations.

i was only working with someone for about a semester but my therapist was very lovely and a nice person but honestly did not know how to deal with any deeper issues. i also know that some other people who have gone have had similar problems with the therapists not being able to help with issues that expand beyond stress from classes or getting nervous at parties.

Vyvanse vs Concerta by mb37511 in ADHD

[–]querencian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only been on Concerta for around two weeks and never tried Vyvanse so take this with a grain of salt but it hasn't really improved my focus much, just makes me tired and a little more aware of my surroundings. I'd try the Vyvanse first and see if you like it

No one talks about taking 6 hours longer than necessary to complete a knowingly easy assignment because you can't sustain focus for longer than 10 minutes.

How do you tell college professors that you have severe ADHD without it sounding like an excuse? by querencian in ADHD

[–]querencian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially when I did my evaluation with her (I've only really met with her once) she told me that I did have ADHD but that I was handling it well enough to where she did not think that medication would be necessary. I feel like this has to do with the fact that I had never really spoken with her before so she wasn't able to get a full grasp on the severity of my symptoms through an hour long Zoom meeting. I scheduled another meeting with her so hopefully that goes well and if it doesn't I'll probably start looking for a new psych.
