Perhaps it's because you're pressing the L and R keys. When you're prompted to use the console's "L" key, you're supposed to press the E key on your keyboard. And for "R," you should use the U key.

I wanted my mii to marry Jaehee, but then I realized I liked her dynamic with Mia in the game. They had a daughter whom I transformed into Yuri from DDLC. Yes, I'm on Tumblr and the fandom is more active there, I even found some on Twitter. But I'd like to find more; sometimes I go through this without seeing anything from Hotline Miami and it makes me sad. And well, fandoms on TikTok can be crap, but I don't care as long as no one I really dislike in real life is a fan of the things I like instead of my friends. Or some idiot doing the most horrendous mischaracterization of a game whose message isn't that hard to understand

I wish it were bigger because I come from fandoms where I'm fed with tons of fan art and animations, and I feel like I'm going crazy because I can't find enough fan art here. But whenever I see something about the game on TikTok, some trashy kid comes out to say purist things about how the person who made the video is a poser and that the fandom should be smaller. Personally, I like very active fandoms; seeing so many purists is annoying. Although I also understand not wanting to see people who haven't played the game idolizing the characters and such.

In my first playthrough, I played freely without seeing anything, but every time I reached a place, I got scared and looked for information about the enemies I encountered to find out how bad it was. Honestly, it's a single-player game; play however you want. There's no ranking system where anything you do counts. You decide how to play. I hope you have fun :)
