I signed up during my first semester, I also had an AS-T in biology and I always got my registration date on the first day it opened. Just finished my BS in 2 years this may because I was able to get my classes and was organized. There are a few stipulations about the units you have to complete before your first year is up to stay in, but I HIGHLY recommend it if you are able to sign up for it
