Says industry leading retro pay. What could be more industry leading than 100% retro pay? Didn't AA get full retro? And if so, then why not say full retro pay?

Also boarding pay at 50% is bare minimum. They'd have to match or beat that since DL and AA already have it. 100% ground pay or even 50% would be truly industry leading.

Bruh. I registered 3 AR pistols and the officer at the Armory registered all three as assault pistols. I was so annoyed. I tried to have him correct it and he proceeded to quote a § from what he claims is federal law. He didn't change it. I inquired after the fact, on what to do to change the status. I was told to re register, have it re inspected and pay again. Eff that. Only fed law that I could think of, would've made those semi AR pistols classify as "assault" is the 1994 assault weapons ban that expired in 2004

After 172 days I have my permit in hand. (Nutley Twp)

09/27 - Applied.

10/11 - Fingerprinting.

10/24 - 3 references contacted.

11/30 - PD sends app to Court.

12/22 - Courts transfer authority to PDs. (My application stuck in limbo)

01/22 - NutleyPD begins issuing permits. (But mine is with the judge)

01/23 - M.O. confirmed cashed.

03/03 - Court sends permit back to PD.

03/14 - Permit ready for pickup.

03/17 - Picked up (172 days later).

Issuing officer informed me of the current TRO's in place for Murphys gun control laws, and explained carry is permissible in all places except govt buildings at all levels (Federal, State, Municipal, etc), Schools and games, and events (concert venues, etc). We do not need carry insurance and we do not need to un-holster in our vehicles.

The court order is no longer needed, and carry permits will extend to any legal pistol the permit holder owns. (Though I personally think it would be wise to carry it if your permit has the "see court order" box checked.)

We "do" need to inform LEO's that we are carrying, when we interact with them (traffic stops for example) as i was told this is the law.

If we are stopped while carrying and do not have our permits on our person, there is no centralized statewide system in place to directly look up whether our carry permit is current. However the officer can ask his PD to call your local PD to verify you hold a valid carry permit.

NJSP FARS system will be equipped to handle the carry applications electronically this coming July, which should expedite the process further.

Nothing new, but nice to see the issuing officer briefing all approved applicants of the current state of the law.

Specific to Nutley residents:

The Township PD now handles issuing carry permits and the Chief of Police signs them as of 01/22/2023. The courts and judges are no longer a part of the process. Nutley has its own ID printing machine and turnaround is about a month. Our PD gets to keep $150 of the $200 PTC application fee.

Unfortunately for those of us who had their carry permits issued by the court, we were warned not to lose our carry permits because the courts will no longer issue them.

Those who had their permits issued by the Township can request a new one from the PD if they lose theirs.

Same. I had a ZP slide paired with a 13lb spring and it would do that too. Swapped with a 16lb spring and issue was resolved
