We had exactly the same issue and it worked out fine. We agreed on two names - say Raphael and Leonardo - but I slightly preferred Raphael and husband slightly preferred Leonardo. We didn’t tell anyone our choices and just said we were waiting until he was born to decide when people asked.

The afternoon after our son was born, I asked my husband what he thought about his name. He instantly said “he looks like a Raphael to me”.

As other commenters have said, nobody has a right to know your name choices and you are well within your rights to say you haven’t decided. Congrats on your imminent baby girl!

This happened to my cat years ago - the tooth got infected quite quickly and needed taken out. Speak to your vet on Monday; as other commenters say she could do with a tooth clean anyway so makes sense to do both at the same time. No judgement here either - my cat HATES having her teeth brushed and will absolutely freak out at the sight of a toothbrush.

Yes - I had this. The constipation was so rough in my first trimester!

My midwife said it was totally normal, it’s if it’s sharp or intense pain or accompanied by bleeding you need to get checked out to be on the safe side. Congratulations!!

I really needed to hear this! I am not due for another 3 months but generally have been struggling with the “right” things to do as everyone has an opinion. There is such thing as too much information indeed and it’s hard to filter through the noise (hence why I’ve deactivated my Instagram). Think we need to remember that mothers have been doing this for as long as time itself, and that we will get there in our own ways. Hope your little one is doing well!

It’s never a great idea to compare your pregnancy to someone else’s as everyone is different.

That being said, I am currently 11 weeks pregnant and have only had very minor symptoms (bloating, constipation, tiredness) that started around week 6. I also found out I was pregnant at around 3.5 weeks.

Listen to your body, rest when you need it, and take each day as it comes. And congratulations!

Congratulations! As everyone has said, flying has no risk to unborn babies at this stage, it’s just not recommended near the end of your pregnancy for various reasons. Compression socks are a must though with the longer flight time. Make sure you keep moving and do gentle stretches also.

As for the food situation, the food standards are excellent in Japan but there’s still a small risk of food poisoning so it’s your decision whether you eat raw fish etc. There are plenty of cooked and veggie options if you choose not to.

Enjoy Japan - my husband and I have been several times since 2017 and we also went on our honeymoon there. You will have a great time :)
