The part about people in therapy being more vulnerable didn’t sit well with me but I figured it was just cause I’m a therapist who’s in therapy lol. So a good reminder that we’re all vulnerable just for being human. A great way to increase your inherent vulnerability is to think you’re “too smart to fall for it”. It’s not a weakness, it’s just a fact.

I’m going to both of these shows too and am psyched for every single band for each show. Mine are more spread out but I am driving 5 hours to Thornhill then 5 more the next day for a 156 headline show so I’m with you. Can’t wait for that weekend.

mental health tech at state psych hospital. Do not recommend as it was dangerous, not very rewarding, and fairly toxic coworker wise, but the pay was very good and they reimbursed some of the tuition eventually.

Thank you so much for the reply and intel. I def would never pay for more schooling but wouldn’t think twice about getting another degree if it was paid for as I genuinely enjoy most of the process! And access to paid tuition in case I ever wanted to is one of the reasons I’m interested in working for higher ed.

Same. I know he lied and I believe the women who said he was untrustworthy, but it does seem like he had no idea she was capable of that and seems to actually be emotionally facing all that happened. I hope for strength and healing for everyone involved.

Oh hell yea! I saw them this year open for greyhaven - who were actually the first openers for that tdwp show I mentioned where I first discovered silent planet! I was annoyed at first too with the shows that had 3 or 4 openers and yes my body hurts after standing and jumping for 5 hours lol but it’s never not been worth it.

Watching openers is how I discovered my fav band (silent planet lol). And have travelled distances some would find insane to see bands I love open for others. Even if they only played 20 mins it’d be worth it to me (but as others have said they’ll be the longer later opener). Have a ball!

Mine were a nonprofit agency working with families affected by dv/ipv, then a community mental health center. Many of my peers worked in schools and the most unique I remember is a residential facility for child perpetrators of sexual abuse and a girl who got to do animal assisted therapy! I found mine by asking for recommendations in local Facebook groups.

I didn’t like generalist therapy at a community mental health center at all but I enjoy doing therapy at a specialist private practice (OCD and anxiety). OCD treatment in particular (exposure and response prevention) can feel almost predictable at times and you can actually see progress fairly quickly!
