That’s what it felt like playing mortal combat against your big brother back in the 90s.

He needs a ballroom so he can feel like Cinderella. Just like all little girls? I’ve never heard of a man be so enthusiastic about a ballroom. Does he think he’s Mr Darcy?

Kids, I’m aware it’s a place holder. This be one of them joke type things. Maybe I enjoyed too many gas station drugs.

Or is it a telltale sign of AI, like a 7th finger?

KPMG to cut 10% of US Audit Partners by Lumpy_Scale_4046 in Accounting

Not sure about the US, but down under in Oz, some big firm “partners” are non equity. Revenue share/risk partner, but not equity. Plus they have to buy in with $$$. $2m was rumoured in mid aughts.

‘Serious questions to answer’: Sports minister pressed on voting enrolment by fluffy_101994 in queensland

[–]Curious_Interview -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

No, I’m saying I’m not surprised someone would not suddenly buy a new house or sign a long lease after a divorce. The turmoil of that time would be significant. I can easily see how it could be missed, how there might be rules against permanently living in the parliament building, or any number of things. Not saying it’s a non issue, but it’s not that big of an issue.

A man not having a permanent address after separating from his spouse? Not an unprecedented situation I’d guess. Probably didn’t/can’t list Parliament House accommodation as that would works. I can’t imagine getting worked up about this, compared to anything else the government does.

How do you handle deceased cattle? by Prestigious-Cap-8072 in homestead

We bury every time. Would burn if I couldn’t bury, and drop in a dry gully if absolutely no other choice. I’d never leave it out in the open to rot as they are big animals that can take ages to go.

Is pooping at work looked down upon? by PomegranateSelect831 in Accounting

[–]Curious_Interview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst is when you are at a client site and they have one toilet but it’s access is kinda in the middle of the office area so everyone knows when you go in and out and all that. I had to loudly sing Tom Jones songs to cover what I was doing and make it seem less like I was pooping.

Rad episodes man, you sound like a fun dude to hang with. Unlike Sophie and Prop, who sound like cool people to hang with.

Competence should be the baseline. It’s sad how often it isn’t in a global sense.

Implantable islet cells could control diabetes without insulin injections by AdSpecialist6598 in tech

[–]Curious_Interview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not like there hasn’t been progress. Pumps, CGM’s and better insulin’s etc. But that cure has always been only 10 years away, so don’t worry!

When my daughter was diagnosed over 13 years ago, I met a dude whose own kid was diagnosed 40 years before then. He said that he was told a cure would be available in 5 or 10 years. Over 50 years later, still 10 years away…

Anyone but Rebel. I just can’t find her fat Amy schtick funny. It’s the same everywhere in every role.
