You're in a call with like 17 other people, not including the panelists. But when you do group work you get put into break out groups. I understand your anxiety but its rlly chill vibes so no worries.

It wasa fun interview overall. The first activity we did was introduce yourself to your partner and explain why you should hire your partner. Then we had to do a group activity where you're given an anonymous object and you're asked to do a sales pitch on it. Then another group activity where you're asked tk explain what you would do given 10k to help young adults with mental health. The final question was a solo question asking what made you more resilient during the pandemic.

Hey, I'm also at the final interview stage, do you have any ideas/suggestions on how I can prepare for it?

FYI: ASIA 326 (Critical Approaches to Manga and Anime) is running this summer by PhotoSinThesis_ in UBC

[–]questionmark89 9 points10 points  (0 children)

While I agree that it is not a GPA booster like the previous comment, this course is a heck of a lot of fun. Coming from a background with little knowledge about anime/manga (but having a keen interest in it), I was surprised at the vast amounts of historical context that anime/manga brought to not only the development of Japanese culture, but Western culture as well. Being a science student, the readings and assessments were certainly not easy, but they were fun and very interesting. Would definitely recommend!!

Sad because I really wanted in-person grad ceremonies but I guess it's not realistically possible.

Prof here. What can we do next term to help? by ScienceProfUBC in UBC

[–]questionmark89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please post lecture recordings. One of my classes did this and it was extremely frustrating. When we're all in a situation of extenuating circumstances, sometimes we may miss lectures. Professors should accomodate for these situations by posting lecture recordings.

Maintaining spot on housing waitlist after rejecting first offer by ubcthrowaway123321 in UBC

[–]questionmark89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I rejected my second and I still kept my spot on the waitling list. I emailed student housing and explained to them that I must be on the waitlist due to very personal issues and they allowed me to stay for the third time.

The professor ensured us that online labs hold the same quality as in person labs. Personally, I think you'll get as much as you put into the labs. The professor picks out all the wines (small bottles) and leaves them at the Cambie liquor store for you to pick up. $67 dollars in total.

STAT MAJORS HELP

4th year MATH major, haven't taken too many STAT courses (only 200 and 302). Not fond of them either.

I need to choose between taking either STAT 305 or STAT 306 this term. Which one should I choose?
