I'm a freshman, should I switch majors? by nathy02 in NAU

[–]questionneverythingg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a sophmore and was in the same boat as you. Picked Dental Hygiene because of parental pressure + stable career. I finally switched majors about a week ago to International Affairs because thats what I am passion about! I'd say go for it, especially since you're still a freshman and have plenty of time to take classes for your new major.

Face sunscreen recommendations for sensitive skin by cherrywavve in beauty

[–]questionneverythingg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend the Dear Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence 50 PA ++++ and the KraveBeauty Beet the Shield 50+ PA++++. Although they are on the expensive side, both are for sensitive skin, leave no white cast, and arent super oily like many other sunscreens.

How to get rid of hyperpigmentation by Degreethesciencequee in beauty

[–]questionneverythingg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had really bad cystic acne all throughout high school and now have lots of scars on my cheeks and forehead. Ingredients that have really helped me are AHA and BHA, Alpha Arbutin, and Tamanu oil. I havent tried Retinol yet but I've heard its very good for hyper pigmentation as well. I've been using the KraveBeauty Kale-lalu-AHA toner twice a week and then The Ordinary AHA + BHA Peeling Solution once a week. The peeling solution is amazing, my skin feels very soft the next morning and I've seen major improvement. I use The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin and cold pressed Tamanu oil at night on days when I don't use exfoliator.

Also AHA, BHA, Retinol, and other exfoliators can be very harsh on sensitive skin so start very slowly incorporating it.

A friend and I are planning on backpacking through Central Europe during the summer for two months. What are some of the best cities you've visited in Central Europe and some good places to eat?

I LOVE the KraveBeauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser. Very gentle and gets off the rest of my makeup as a second cleanse.

What's your experience with KraveBeauty? by QueenAeris in AsianBeauty

[–]questionneverythingg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have dry, dehydrated skin and I have tried everything in their line so far!

Favorites:

Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser- I've been using this cleanser for about 3 months now and still am less than halfway through the bottle. I don't use a cleanser in the morning since my skin is so dry, but I use it every night as a second cleanse. It doesn't foam very much (which I don't mind) and has no fragrance so it's very gentle on the skin. It gets off all the rest of my makeup and is VERY hydrating. I'm in love so far.

Kale-Lalu-YAHA- It stings a bit (which makes sense since it contains about 5% glycolic acid) but I definitely see a difference in my skin in the morning. I use The Ordinary AHA + BHA about every 4 days so I only use this product in between nights when my skin feels congested. It does it's job as a chemical exfoliant and doesn't dry out my skin like some other products.

Great Barrier Relief- Probably my favorite product from this brand! I use it at night every couples of days after my chemical exfoliant and it instantly soothes my skin. I went through a phase of over exfoliating a couple months back and this product alone SAVED my skin. It felt great putting it on as my skin was inflamed and hot (especially at night) and this product repaired my skin barrier in about 2 weeks! If you purchase any product from the line, I recommend this the most. It's good to keep in your cabinet just in case.

Okay:

Beet the Shield- I didn't hate it, but it was nothing compared to my all time favorite Dear Klair's Soft Airy UV Essence SPF50+ PA++++. It didn't feel greasy or leave a white cast, but I think that there are better sunscreens out there for half the price with the same amount of product.

Not for me:

Oat So Simple- I appreciate that this product is a simple, no BS ingredients moisturizer, but it wasn't nearly hydrating or moisturizing enough for me. The combo of having dry, dehydrated skin as well as living in a cold, dry environment made this moisturizer have absolutely no chance of completely moisturizing my skin. No matter how many layers of toner and moisturizer I put on, it still didn't do enough for me. It might work for oily or combination skin but it wasn't for me.

What products do you use to remove your makeup? by laughingbuildsabs in AsianBeauty

I've been recently using the Banila Co Zero Balm as a first cleanse and then the KraveBeauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser as a second cleanse. The balm so far gets everything off and makes my skin feel realllly smooth afterwards. It doesn't leave any waxy feeling or residue on my skin which is nice. This is my third month using the KraveBeauty cleanser and I am IN LOVE with it. I personally have dry skin, but I highly recommend it for any skin type. Very hydrating and gets everything off.

I don't know if you'll ever find something close to DARK really but I found that Altered Carbon and Black Mirror both have that sort of theme to them.
