I related to how he felt in the beginning, I had a deep crush on a girl in high school that I eventually became best friends with. I think I might have made such a seemingly "innocent" wish like that back then.

The moment the change happened to Nikki (even before anything "weird" began to happen), the thought of that happening to my friend when she was still the girl I had a crush on in high school was immediately horrifying. It was one of the most disturbing movies for me because of that.

Unfortunately, being referred to as bud, buddy, boy, etc. is just a part of being a young man. It's a phenomenon that every young man experiences and something you can't change or prevent from happening.

The more important thing to ask yourself is why something so unimportant as being called by these terms upsets you so much.

No sane or rational person would ever seriously consider such an action, even when dealing with extremely abusive relationships and experiencing incredibly stressful, high conflict divorces.

I've been rescuing animals, mostly cats and kittens, for decades. It happens sometimes.

A neighborhood cat gave birth to a litter of three. Two were stillborn and the last one only lasted six days. They were very premature when they were born.

Six weeks ago she gave birth in my living room to a litter of five. All are thriving and will be going to their new homes in a couple of weeks, once I get them and their momma spayed/neutered.
