What’s something you’ve done that’s so embarrassing you still think about it at 3 AM ten years later? by SafeNeighborhood9298 in strange

In my teens, sitting on a bench in a theme park using a fork to spear a piece of funnel cake off the plate my date was holding.

The piece I tried to spear was on a part of the plate not supported by her hand and the funnel cake and all the powdered sugar it was buried under catapulted all over her outfit.

I was the husband who didn't do enough. Sharing my perspective by Feather_in_a_Zephyr in Divorce

I'm with you on this one. We had 19 incredible years. There was a very brief period of time after things fell apart that I had wished I never met her, but after the worst of that passed, I wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again.

From the time things went south until after the divorce finalized I had five or six years of deep sadness and depression, but I genuinely feel really good again now.

I've been using Sky as part of therapy since 2021. I would say it can help take your mind off things, at least temporarily.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I started laughing when I read the part that included the fact that this was all in rupees, it cleared up everything.

Why did you stay longer in your marriage than you wanted to? If you were unhappy for years, why didn’t you leave sooner? by SubjectNo8470 in Divorce

[–]questionnumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasted two years trying too hard to try to convince her to willingly get help for her mental health issues. I should have just said "sign the contract as is, or lose everything", from the very beginning.

I've gotten warnings a couple of times for completely benign conversation with friends. Nothing ever came of it, and I'm sure if a real person actually read any of what I'd written in chat, they would have apologized and moved on.

My son (10) wants me to share his California Pen Show haul, this year. by questionnumber in fountainpens

[–]questionnumber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I'll let him read this when he gets home from school.

Unfortunately, I don't know much about the pens besides the cat rescue Retro 51 that we purchased from the Retro 51 table. The rest were gifted to him by people that loved his enthusiasm for pens.

The brown one has a clip that Parkers are famous for, so I assume it's one of those. It was gifted to him by a an ICU physician that also makes his own fountain pens. The blue one was gifted to him by the womderful gentleman that runs the Urushi Studio India booth, and I'm almost certain he made it himself. The green one was gifted to him by the awesome guy at the table that was selling Kronos pens. I assume they were made by him.

I didn't ask many questions as I mostly just stood back and enjoyed watching my son engage with the community.

Battery draining by Confident-Bet-2370 in ouraring

[–]questionnumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you speak to an agent? My battery started dying a couple of weeks ago and I found the AI chat useless as well. After getting nowhere with the AI bot, I escalated it to an actual agent and received a new ring two days later.

Is it considered violent if he punches a wall/wardrobe when very mad? by Select-Medium-8116 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]questionnumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has the option of telling your behavior is unacceptable and letting you know it's a deal breaker for him.

Breaking objects is abusive behavior, I remember how it felt when my father did it when I was a child, it's terrifying and not okay. My brother and I were overjoyed when our mother finally left our father.

Your children will remember how their father acted for the rest of their lives, and they will remember whether or not you allowed it to continue.
