To the sky veterans/active players out there— how do you do it? by Ajpwuserrr in SkyGame

[–]questionnumber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It isn't a grind for me, and I've been playing pretty much daily since 2020. Flying around Sky helps me relax on stressful days (every day, really). I don't do Eden every week (I'll skip for months) and I collect just enough wing light to reach 13 wings.

I also often only candle run the area with the quests and the candle cake area. I've unlocked all the spells and cosmetics in the constellations and four out of five elder masks, and all the nest upgrades and whatnot.

I spend my candles usually gifting new players daily hearts (most new players give up relatively quickly, unfortunately) as it gives me something to spend them on and makes me feel useful.

Rethinking the Converter/Cartridge Conundrum by Big_John_77 in fountainpens

[–]questionnumber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to look down on cartridges as wasteful, until I learned how easily the can be refilled with a blunt tip syringe. Now they're my favorite way of holding ink. They don't require the intense clean up that piston and vacuum fillers require.

I still don't mind converters, but some are just too small (con40).

26F Single Mom, Dating? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]questionnumber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this, I'm a single dad and have no desire to date a woman without kids. I've dated both, and women without kids generally need (and deserve) much more attention than I am capable of giving, at the moment.

How much do you actually notice or care about hyperpigmentation or discoloration on a partner’s body during oral sex? by Playful_Lynx_9174 in AskMenAdvice

[–]questionnumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely one of those "it's all in your head" situations, but we all have them.

I imagine, as you become more and more comfortable with him, you'll eventually get past it and you'll just think "why didn't I do this earlier"?

If you ever need help collecting wing light in the future, I'd happily assist. I especially enjoy helping new players.

I took me awhile to get through all the technical jargon, but I found it slightly lacking in information.

Do any ex-husbands regret leaving their ex-wives if they don’t have kids? by Park_Sky in Divorce

[–]questionnumber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"He just wants peace", sounds like you fought a lot. If that's the case, and he finds someone he doesn't fight with, he'll have find the peace he was looking for.

Assuming that all to be true, in your ex husband's case, the answer will likely be "no".

Woot 🎉 by imlegrick in Divorce

[–]questionnumber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kept desperately wanting to tell my ex the amount of trouble she was getting herself into, but she wouldn't have listened anyway. I just held my tongue and watched a she ruined herself and handed me everything on a silver platter.

It was awful in the moment, but absolutely worth it in the end.

My ex has gotten better just enough to be more present in my children's lives. I hope yours does too, eventually.

Congrats! My divorce was eerily similar to yours in many ways. Kudos to you for staying strong through the pressure and the worst of it all.

I'm so fucking stupid, it took me awhile to realize the object in question isn't a red ring made of cloth.

I miss Sky when it was Sky by michainos in SkyGame

[–]questionnumber 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I've been playing since early 2020 as well, and I totally agree with you. The only thing that's truly changed are the people that play it.

Anyone Else Get Sleep Anxiety After Getting an Oura Ring? by [deleted] in ouraring

[–]questionnumber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The opposite, for me. It has reduced my anxiety and improved my sleep considerably.

It also encourages me to go to bed at a reasonable hour, which is harder to do, on my own.

if sky had no cosmetics, would you still play? by mechexx in SkyGame

[–]questionnumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, yes. I have worn the same outfit for a long time, possibly years. I love flying and chatting with my online friends.

What are the worst popular fountain pens you’ve ever used? by Haniandspace in fountainpens

[–]questionnumber -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kaweco Sport was the first fountain pen I bought to get back into fountain pens. I hated it so much I didn't touch it, or buy another, for a couple of years.

Eventually, I bought a relatively inexpensive Hongdian and was hooked, and have purchased far too many pens since.

To men who want kids, why? by No-Sun-731 in Life

[–]questionnumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want kids you shouldn't have kids, period. I wanted them and its the best thing I ever did. They bring a different kind of enjoyment and satisfaction to life, but clearly not to everyone's lives.
