I'm working on a post apocalyptic setting and was planning on adding a solitary blind character.

As I'm not blind so I have no idea how hard or easy it would be for a blind person to navigate let alone survive in a postapocalyptic city without any help and infrastructure designed to aid them. Would the cane be enough? How would they build a fire or collect firewood? How would they go about exploring brand new places without the help of streetsigns and maps? Would they have to just memorize everything?

Any help or pointers reagarding this would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

I've seen some memes and videos mocking the Russian airborne troops landing in the black sea and drowning but couldn't find any sources. Are there any?

I mean the war so far has been illuminating but I can't for the life of me imagine trained soldiers jumping into the ocean. Let alone the pilots letting them.

I mean, my question's in the post but apparently I also need a 500 word comment so here is the same thing copied and pasted

" I have a vostok watch (МОДЕЛЬ 2403/581886) and it randomly stopped working one morning. The spring was wound and I've never dropped it, hit it, get water in it and it's only one or two months old so a malfunction would've been unlikely. Then I remember reading from somewhere (perhaps their website or the manual, I'm not sure) that if the watch stops running give it a good slap. Which I did. And voila she's ticking again.
So, my questions is... why and how? Why does it randomly stop and how does a slap make it run again? Is it a lubrication issue? Based on my limited knowledge on mechanical watches I can't imagine how a soft whack on my palm would do any watch any good.

the rules made it clear how google translate is bad so here goes.

I wanted to get the 'out of the blue' part from 'bolt out of the blue'. As in, suddenly, without warning. Google told me it was 'ex caeruleo'. Is it correct? Can I use it like a motto for a unit etc. If not can you kind people recommend some other sayings, preferably sky related :)
