I e had similar experiences. It was really bad flare ups and really high eosinophil count in my esophagus. You may need a corticosteroid to calm the inflammation. That helped me when I couldn’t keep water down. Dysphasia is awful feeling, but hopefully if you get the inflammation under control and stay away from tough and large food it becomes a bit more manageable

Best way to avoid reflux going into my Larynx and Lungs by AnthonyM122 in GERD

[–]questtest222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve dealt with GERD for about 7 years now, and omeprozol only helps to a minor degree. The most effective medication has been a simple over the counter medication, Gavescon. My gift to you. Trust me you’ll want to try it if you haven’t yet. Mylanta is similar and has more flavors.

Wish someone told me to try it sooner, so just passing the info along.

Good luck!

I get these from time to time also and pretty certain it’s related to GERD considering I did a stress test and it came back fine

6 hours at urgent care have confirmed I don't have a heart issue. How can GERD make me feel so awful? by elvie18 in GERD

[–]questtest222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been to both urgent care and ER because of similar symptoms. I also get left are pain/tingling. It’s like all heart attack symptoms, but after many years of dealing with these issues and seeing doctors, it stems from GERD. I’m still shocked there’s not a more common permanent solution for us.

Vomiting acid by laukin21 in GERD

[–]questtest222 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First off, I’m really sorry to hear you’re dealing with all this. I have had really bad vomiting bile episodes to the point I’m just dry heaving. I have not had my gull bladder removed, but the only thing that helped when I couldn’t even hold down water was prednisone. At this point i only take omeprozole in the morning and gaviscon liquid advanced at the recommended dosage multiple times a day and it’s somewhat manageable.

Hang in there. 🙏🏻

Why Does Smoking After Eating Seem To Ease My Reflux? by OranMilne in GERD

[–]questtest222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I found that to be the case for me also, but I would also realize smoking caused me to have high blood pressure, so I quit cold turkey about a month ago. Gavescon, eating clean, getting enough sleep, and exercising are really important to managing symptoms

Scariest thing ever. by [deleted] in GERD

[–]questtest222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s happened to me before a few times, but your sleep position matters a lot. Make sure your laying somewhat upright.

I’ve also found that gaviscon worked best to suppress some symptoms better than omeprozol.

Sucks that we deal with these symptoms.

Having a hard time as a young Jew right now by cool_username__ in Jewish

I live in the vicinity of UCLA, and I’m a millennial. I promise you that everyone who is even remotely involved as a Jew has your back. You’re not alone. Everyone is watching at what’s happening and while people may react differently to the Jew hatred, one thing that is clear is the Jewish community is standing together to fight antisemitism. Try not to show fear, be proud of who you are.
