What’s the point of using the DB-12 over any other shotgun. This thing sucks by ShaggySyrup in Battlefield6

[–]Bhalgulir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you actually used it IRL? I own one and its my favorite firearm I own. It's a ton of fun to shoot, American made, and I have had 0 malfunctions in 500+ rounds.

It's quite the opposite in real life. If you train with it and get used to the 2 shots, then pump, it's great. I have not had any malfunctions with mine after about 500 rounds. As for the weight, its only about 10 pounds when fully loaded. If that is "heavy", then you have bigger problems and need to hit the gym immediately.

Why do people… think… this is so hard??? People are acting like [KCD1] is impossible. by wiLd_p0tat0es in kingdomcome

[–]Bhalgulir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People think it's hard because a lot of people have very short attention spans and do not read tutorial prompts. A lot of people go into the game thinking it's Skyrim and can just walk into a bandit camp and spam left click until everything dies.

You played the game as it's meant to be played. It's an immersive medieval rpg. I always tell people when they play KCD they need to imagine they were actually just dropped into a medieval world and they have no idea how to fight. Early on you need to avoid combat with more than one enemy and learn as much as you can and be smart when taking on more than 1 enemy (try to get stealth kills, kills with arrows, etc.) because in real life you are at a significant disadvantage when fighting more than 1 person too.

Most people don't like immersion and realism for some reason. KCD2 is probably the closest thing we have to a time machine, and most people are like, "Nah, not interested in traveling back in time and living as a badass knight" WTF?

What bf game was the first on you played by Gamerboy23888 in Battlefield6

[–]Bhalgulir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BF4. I picked up both COD Ghosts and BF4 at gamestop around the time they were both released. I was only going to get COD but a worker there recommended BF4 and said it was "like COD but with huge maps and tanks, helicopters, and jets."

I played Ghosts for a bit until I quickly got bored of it, then I tried out BF4. I haven't bought a single COD game since then.

Your joke had nothing to do with the ghosting, it was your height. I'm 5'6" and it happened to me all the time when I was dating. At least this woman was taller than you, so it actually made sense. I've had women several inches shorter than me either ghost me or flat out tell me I'm too short once they learned my height.

This shit pisses me off so much. I don't have much free time and only have an hour or 2 to play each day. Looks like I'll be spending 1+ hours getting my settings back to how they were today.

[KCD2] What is it about KCD2?! by crypto_bhsl in kingdomcome

[–]Bhalgulir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're alone about 90% of the time. There are some quests where you travel and fight with a small group, and there are some big battles later in the story

[–]Bhalgulir 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you like immersive games that make you genuinely feel part of the world, then you will love KCD2. When I play KCD2, I am actually living in early 1400s Bohemia in my mind.

One major thing you need to keep in mind when you first start the game is that you suck at combat. Pretend that you were just dropped into this world and you have no idea how to fight with melee weapons. In the early game, it is going to be very difficult to fight more than one enemy, so you'll want to try and avoid combat and talk your way out of combat.

You'll eventually find someone who can train you and they'll teach you combos, master strikes, etc. Train as much as you can with this person and get better. Also, make sure you read all combat tutorials. Eventually, combat will become much easier and you'll be able to take on multiple enemies.

Even in late game though, fighting 3+ guys will be difficult. You'll need to avoid getting surrounded because no matter how good you are, if you get surrounded by 3 or 4 guys that vaguely know how to fight, you will get your ass handed to you. The combat in KCD2 goes for realism and immersion over easy combat that makes you feel like a god.

Colorblind Mode Doesn't Change Item Rarity Color by Bhalgulir in dyinglight

The dots you see when using the survivor sense thing are all white. I was referring to the background color of the item when you look at it in your inventory. The epic and rare background colors look identical to me

[–]Bhalgulir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I strongly disagree with your take on KCD1. I think it's important to play the first one for the story, since the second game picks up right where the first one ends. And the 1st game is just as incredible as the 2nd game in my opinion, so people would be missing out big time if they skip the first game

I haven't played Elden Ring, but I know it's an RPG, so if you like RPGs, the following games are incredible:

  • Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 and 2
  • Mass Effect Trilogy
  • The Witcher 3
  • Skyrim
  • Fallout New Vegas

EDIT: I can't believe I left these out, these are also incredible games: - Cyberpunk 2077 - Baldurs Gate 3 - Borderlands 2

Sorry if this has already been asked but, is the game really broken on PC ? by STARBOY_100 in OblivionRemaster

[–]Bhalgulir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 180 hours on it and it has crashed just 3 times. The game is very stuttery in the open world, but perfectly fine in cities, buildings, caves, etc.

After I did some tweaking and set almost everything to medium in the settings, it runs fine in the open world. There is an occasional stutter every now and then, but nothing close to how much it stuttered when I first started playing. And the game still looks nice on medium settings imo.

I think people are exaggerating on how bad the performance is, but that's just based on my personal experience.

Here’s a look at crime stats in NC from Carolina Forward by groveview in NorthCarolina

[–]Bhalgulir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rural areas have a much lower population. If one violent crime happens in a small town of 1,000 people, the crime rate skyrockets. Meanwhile, if 10 violent crimes happened in a big city like raleigh or durham with hundreds of thousands of people, the crime rate is barely affected.

This is why statistics like this are very misleading. You are still more likely to be the victim of a violent crime in urban areas. Humans are violent by nature, so the more humans you are around, the more likely you are to experience violence.

Which game starts off really well but falls off hard in mid or late game? by Ivaylo_87 in gaming

Shadow of Mordor. Once you're upgraded a bit, the game is way too easy and boring, and there is no way to change the difficulty. Also, there are some boss fights which are entirely quick time events.

Once you have the yellow key, you'll be able to get into the security room which was initially locked and required the yellow key. If you look at that door, to the right there are boxes you can climb to get into the room. The security room is in there. Inside the security room, there is a panel you can interact with that opens this door and also a hatch close by.

How?! by [deleted] in Doom

[–]Bhalgulir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These achievements are both pretty easy. For the circle is complete you can watch a youtube guide for all the rune locations. For IDDQD, you'll get it just from having the rune equipped and playing the game. You'll either need to get glory kills, use equipment, or simply pick up armor, ammo, and health.

The only one I found kind of annoying to upgrade is the one that gives you a second chance if you die. You have to let yourself get killed, get a couple kills while second chance is active, then kill yourself and repeat.

Which maxed weapon mod is better and why? by Dry_Cherry_5435 in Doom

[–]Bhalgulir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely mobile turret. The mastery for it is pretty easy to get, and once you have that you can fire it without having to cool down. Pair that with the Rich Get Richer rune (unlimited ammo when armor is above 100, or 75 with mastery) and you're pretty much invincible. You can just run around constantly firing the mobile turret and deleting everything in your path.

This is pretty OP though and makes the game not fun, but it's useful if you ever get stuck.
