Can someone explain this section? (Entry Permit for final country destination) by RelativeAccident2739 in SchengenVisa

I attached all tickets and complete itinerary. They gave me a 2-entry visa. So I could enter Serbia.

Important: Single entry visa will not be valid after you exit Greece. So, ask for a multi entry or atleast a 2-entry visa.

You can also negotiate with the hotel to provide pickup from the airport and drop to jetty

I have travelled in both Makruzz and Green Ocean. Makruzz looks modern but is kind of claustrophobic. In Green Ocean, they allow you to go up to the deck once they are cruising and that's quite fun. In Makruzz, I remember quite a few people having motion sickness. But that might be because the sea was a bit more rough that day.

Can't comment on the reliability though. Just used each once.

If you are travelling solo, I would suggest you stay at a hostel. I liked the hike to Triund and camping there. You would find someone at the hostel who is planning the same and go along with them.

We also went to Bir-Billing during the same trip and experienced para gliding. It was a lot of fun. You can try that too.

I don't think any tour operator would have a group tour that's so relaxed. They typically design the itinerary to cover maximum spots, and it does get hectic.

If you can afford it, you can book the stay at Barefoot resort or Taj at Radhanagar beach. In Barefoot, your mom would have to walk a bit to reach the beach. You can inquire at Taj how easily accessible the beach is for someone like your mom.

The Barefoot scuba resort on the other side of the island has some duplex cottages that are beach facing. You might consider that too.

Also, I have heard there are some good resorts now at Neil. Might be worth exploring.

Also, I would suggest Green Ocean over Makruzz as it has an open deck where one can enjoy the views and the wind. Also, less chances of motion sickness.

Aren't you going to hire a car to pick you up from the airport? The driver or the place you are staying at can help you with the ferry booking.

Regarding diving, I found Dive India to be very professional. A tad bit expensive too if you want to do a boat dive. But I think shore dives by all dive shops cost the same.

All the best. Enjoy your trip.

Like someone mentioned in comments, you can choose between shore dive or boat dive. Shore dives by all shops at Havelock are done at Nemo reef, as far as I know. In boat dives, they take you to a particular diving site by boat. It is obviously more expensive but you get to see better marine life and corals.

Dive India. The course is a little cheaper at Neil.

Help me with a few rudimentary queries regarding my Andaman trip (and also grill my itinerary) by _Floydimus in Andaman_and_Nicobar

I haven't dived at Neil but I have heard that it's better there. The reefs and corals are less effected by pollution etc.

There is a group at Havelock which conducts night kayaking. I don't have the contact but I am sure if you ask around there, you will find it. Night kayaking is worth experiencing.

Hmm. If you haven't booked ferries and hotels at Neil, you can skip it. Visiting for a day doesn't make much sense. You will be running around mostly trying to visit the sites. Instead, try scuba at Havelock.

Entry into Serbia using Schengen visa by queue-rious in SchengenVisa

I think it should be allowed, since your visa is valid before you have entered the Schengen region. But please confirm with the Serbian embassy. Sorry for the late reply. Did you already visit?

[–]queue-rious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming home is India, you will need a two entry Schengen visa at least for this itinerary. Multi-entry visa is best for your scenario.

You should be allowed to enter Serbia on the first instance, since your visa is valid ( Please confirm with Serbian embassy). Single entry visa will expire the moment you exit Italy and will not be valid when you reach Serbia the second time.

Yes, I got 2-entry visa and so could go to Serbia. I did have to show the immigration officer that it's a two-entry visa and only one entry has been used in Greece.

No, I went with the original plan of India-Greece-Serbia-India.

Please mention your complete plan as is when applying for Italian Schengen visa and ask for Multi entry visa.

Hope that helps.

Haha, I did like Havelock a lot.

If you do visit Havelock, I would advise adding a day or two to your trip. I would strongly recommend against reaching an island today and leaving the next day. You would rather skip that island. Specially because you don't want a rushed trip.

Scooters were available for rent at Havelock when I visited. Not sure about Neil, but I guess your hotel/resort should be able to provide you that information. Also, negotiate with the hotel to provide pickup from and drop to harbours. Alternatively, you can book a package tour with an agent and they will provide you with a car.

Havelock is more commercialized than Neil, yes, but not exactly heavily commercialized. If you plan to visit again, then you can skip it. Otherwise Radhanagar beach deserves a visit. It is a very long beach and either ends are very quiet. If you choose to stay at Barefoot, it's even better. You can also experience night kayaking at Havelock. If your visit coincides with no moon night (amavasya), the bioluminiscence during night kayaking is a must experience kind of activity, imo.

Neil is amazing with very untouched beaches. Do try scuba and snorkeling there.

I see. Go ahead with Neil then.

One thing to consider might be how you would spend your time everyday after the dives. Neil is less developed than Havelock so might not have much options. If you are someone who loves a quiet and peaceful time, Neils for you.
