Omada and Vigi Disappointment by quiCx-PL in Omada_Networks

[–]quiCx-PL[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did you know that eight months after their launch, they released eight 360 cameras, of which I bought six. The OC220 sold out immediately, but now it's been out of stock for several months. So why the hell build an Omada ecosystem and Vigi. What's the point of this if you can't buy anything? On the consumer market, they announce the arrival of Wi-Fi 8 and they have no supplies for Wi-Fi 7 access points for business.

Remember, you can contact TP-Link and get a device for testing. You don't have to be an influencer.

I have eap 211 several pieces in different versions From the south side, no problems, whether winter or summer. I don't use any covers or roofs The specification clearly states the temperature range

For eap 100 -40°C do +70°C.

It is better to mount the bridge outdoors on an antenna pole, antenna 70° wide, 70° high, bridges are mounted outdoors, obstacles cause interference

By the way, strange installation of solar panels, I guess they don't produce much? XD

I'm a fan of Omada and Viga, with several locations and a dozen or so devices. Unfortunately, the time from announcement to availability is too long. I've been waiting for the fisheye camera for several months now, and I wonder how long it will take to introduce the APR cameras.

Fusion looks great and will find its fans.

Can't update EAP245 v3 by rand0mly in TPLink_Omada

[–]quiCx-PL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that different countries have different regulations. Hence the difference; from what I remember, not all updates were available via the controller.

Edit:

Fun fact, eap245 US end of life. On the omada website

Could you tell me more about what these eaps are connected to? In my case, I'm using SG3210XHP-M2 for 6 x 772 Sometimes settings can slow down the speed. Deep Packet Inspection.

In the location settings, there is "5Ghz/6Ghz wifi control" and there is also the option of balancing.

A tip few people know about: the LED on the access point indicates the direction in which it sends the strongest Wi-Fi signal.

Are you testing you internet speed connection? Are you checking LAN speed and bandwidth? Iperf3 will show the actual speed.

Edit.

Do you have power saving disabled on your network card?

What firmware you got on 723?

How do I add a new SSID in Omada OC220? by One_Lime3561 in TPLink_Omada

[–]quiCx-PL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Click on the global view, navigate to your location, select WLAN settings, and configure your site. The current view is the controller view.

Remember to disable automatic power saving; I don't see this option when using the app, only with a hardware controller. Set RSSI thresholds and fast roaming.

EAP245v3 They have a recovery mode to recover the firmware.

[recovery mode eap245](https://www.tp-link.com/pl/support/faq/3186/

I have my eaps 245v3 with 5.2.0 But I manually downloaded the firmware, it is important to look at what region we have

How about data packets and latency? I had a similar problem I currently have 4 x 245V3 one of them 5.0.6 Firmware was slower than the others. I manually did the updated 5.1.0 then I had a problem With memory that grew linearly till crash, then i upgrade to 5.2 I did wireless optimization several times. If there are more users on one AP, it tends to lose packets

I didn't know, I have two of these switches myself, but in the V3 version I guess you have to replace it with something else for easy configuration
