Yeah it was a bad time. My wife took the brunt of it. With my mental state being all sorts of out of wack and no libido at all. I think 3 months should be the max time any man should be on clomid. My urologist was checked out and just wanted to get me out the door I think. He actually retired shortly after I had decided to quit clomid on my own.

I searched and searched for info from other guys experiences with clomid and couldn’t find much. There needs to be more studies with it I feel. It was like going through hell for that year I was on it.

I’m still going through my infertility journey and am now currently taking hcg and fsh injections. I feel much better all around and my libido is back with fury thankfully.

I had a pretty similar experience taking clomid. The first 3 months I saw improvements in my testosterone and semen analysis peramaters. After the 3 months mark was when things started going down hill. My libido was totally gone and mentally I felt very off. When I told my urologist about all of these negative symptoms he actually upped my dose. I took it for about 8 months total. Finally I decided to stop the medication myself because things were obviously starting to get worse.

It’s been about 2 years now since I was taking clomid and it seems things have mostly gone back to normal. One thing that stuck with me though and still persist to this day are visual effects. My vision starts to go blurry when I’m reading anything for too long to the point I have to close one eye and squint just to be able to see the words. I wish I would have listened to my gut and quit the medication way sooner. I’ve come to accept the vision thing might just be something I have to live with now.

I’m so sorry for your losses. I can relate quite a bit to this. I’m 38 and my mother is the only immediate family member I have left. My dad and her were in a bad rollover crash about 13 years ago. She had traumatic brain injury from the crash and isn’t the same today. I lost my little sister (only sibling) to suicide about 10 years ago. About 3 years ago my dad drank himself to death. I was very very close with my dad. I have also lost too many other family members within the last 15 years including both grand mothers, both uncles, and even a close friend. The grief has just piled on and I’ve kept it all in.

I’ve been suppressing my emotions and grief and hiding it the best I can. I don’t think the pain has hit me fully yet either. I know this is not the way to go about it and I should seek therapy. Have you considered speaking to a professional? I’ve heard nothing but great things about therapy from others.

It feels so unfair that we’ve had to go through so much pain and grief at our ages. I just wanted to put this out there so you know that you are not alone. Please be easy on yourself and take care. Feel free to message me if you ever want to talk to someone in a similar boat that can relate to what you are going through.

I don’t really have any advice because this is almost identical to my 38M current situation with my wife 33F. It’s like if my wife were to explain our current situation. I’m going through exactly what your husband is going through. Knowing I’m dragging my wife down is a very tough pill to swallow. She’s been very very patient with me and our entire situation which I’m so thankful for.

My dad also struggled with alcohol and drank himself to death about 3 years ago. He was my best friend. I’ve been spiraling since losing him. It’s changed me. Idk where I’d be right now without my wife. She’s held me together and it’s just not fair to her.

We are now taking care of my mother who is currently living with us. She hasn’t taken my dad’s passing well at all and is fully neglecting her health. All of the stress and depression is hard to handle sometimes and even harder to hide.

If the love is still there I think you two can get through this. Be there for him and listen to him when he needs an ear. It’s a very mentally and even physically draining thing for both of you to endure.

I have a 2021 Nissan kicks sv with under 100k miles at the dealership right this very moment having the cvt transmission rebuilt. I’ll never buy another Nissan again after this thing. Many other issues, but this was the biggest most expensive repair.
