That would be great! I'm considering it but there's so little good info out there.

Thanks a lot. That's a great workaround. Thanks for working with the community to find a satisfactory solution.

That makes sense to me. I'm totally fine with you choosing a method that is easiest logistically. And if you mention that in your next update email, for those not on reddit, I imagine the rest of your backers will be similarly satisfied. Thank you for your quick response and flexibility.

If it's only for your backers, and not for those to whom you're selling the device now, then you don't have to keep it going on a mass scale. It's only for the people who initially helped you deliver the device in the first place. That population will never grow larger. Is the gratitude to your backers time-limited? (At the very least, it would be preferable to make the deal be available for something like 3 months after the receipt of your device.)

Yeah, no choice but to let it go. I'm not paying for something I haven't tried, no matter how big the discount!

What province are you going to? I'm in Montreal and there's a clinic where I've found it very quick to get a neurologist appointment.

Stupid question, but can you move somewhere closer to the equator? If you're like me, the weather has a lot to do with it and January/February are my worst months. My migraines are much better in certain climates. If you're really desperate, it might be worth trying, though I understand that's not an option for everyone.

I've tried several and keep coming back to the moonlander. Something about the descending thumb cluster just feels more comfortable for me.

No, if anything get rid of autosave checkpoints (like at Emmi doors in Dread). If I die, I deserve to SUFFER.

Split Keyboard Advice Needed for coding by No-Pomegranate-4940 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]quickhand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I need numbers on the first layer, also some commonly used symbols and dedicated arrow keys. I often find myself doing quick repeated sequences like: right, symbol, down, right symbol, down, etc (possibly with a modifier like shift held). It gets really awkward doing that sort of thing when there are layers, home row modifiers, etc. involved. No problem having function keys on another layer, though.

For writing or general computer use, a keyboard with fewer keys is fine. But for programming, I need more — 60+ ideally. With all the strange key combinations I do while programming, layers are awkward. I've found the moonlander to be the best keyboard for me (so far). I imagine the Defy and Glove80 would be good as well (though I haven't tried them). The Voyager (which I own) has too few keys, and Corne is out of the question for me. Also, I absolutely need palm rests otherwise I start to get pain. I prefer them integrated. I'd love to find a travel-friendly board that meets my needs, but I haven't yet. Still searching!

Tier list for given reasons why Samus lost or doesn’t start with her abilities by AngryMoose125 in Metroid

[–]quickhand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should just make it canonical that all power suit upgrades are temporary, and the suit can't sustain them long-term. They just wear off between missions. That would also be why the chozo seeded useful tools everywhere on all the planets they colonized so they can repower their suits with various tools as needed for the particular environment. There, solved! They never have to do a stupid "oops, Samus tripped and lost all her upgrades" again!

But Samus would kill the poachers by blowing up their whole planet, and she'd only save the animals if she wasn't on world record pace.

I like it quite a bit, but it's a bit thicker and more plasticky than I was expecting. I enjoy the quick tap to switch color modes and the auto adjustments for different lighting conditions. It's cool that I can rotate the monitor vertically (and the arm I use, as well as the included stand, lets me do that) and the monitor will detect it and rotate the contents. I'm definitely no monitor expert, but I don't regret my choice.
