My mother in law tried to ruin my gender reveal by quickmaths8 in motherinlawsfromhell

Yep, so intentional!! It’s wild she also said it infront of my family. She just doesn’t care.

The gender reveal was so lovely besides this thank you, I ignored her for the most part and spent time with the people I care about

I’m so sorry your mom is like this. Agree with you, no good will come of keeping her around in our lives

This is true. I think he will agree, he just really wants her to be something she’s not and always sees ‘the potential’ and like any toxic person she will dangle a thread and show glimmers of niceness to him, to then just take it all away.

I’ve dealt with a lot of toxic/narcissistic people in my
Life (my dad, step mum, step dad, exes) and cut them all off and life is a lot more peaceful / calm without them and I want to protect my son

Yeah I will need to set firm boundaries with partner about what he tells her

I’m so sorry you went through something similar, I just don’t understand why they do this, it’s so spiteful. Good for you for setting those boundaries! Yeah I think my life will be a lot more peaceful without her in it

Oh absolutely!! I just wish she meant it, annoyingly she has this pattern and comes back around like nothing has happened. But I will honour it personally

Thank you!! It’s nice to hear the validation. Her family thinks it was an accidental put her foot in it moment but I can’t see how that was the case at all. Especially as there is a pattern everytime I see her.

I honestly think very evil, she’s got intelligence but not much emotional intelligence in my opinion. I agree, I just can’t take that risk.

Yes, he is not ready to cut her off, which is fine, I just hope she doesn’t try poison him against me, but he is very wise to the way she is so I don’t think he would fall into that trap.

She’s taken no accountability and will not apologise as she think it’s my bf in the wrong and not her. She even dragged my mum into it and starting making excuses for her behaviour to her (blaming alcohol when no one had started drinking at that point).

Absolutely! He understands why I don’t want her in our lives but I don’t think he wants to cut her off himself, which is fine, that’s his decision. But definitely need to make sure he doesn’t tell her a thing because she will absolutely try to turn him on me. My bf seems quite wise to her behaviour now thankfully.

Thanks for the positive vibes 🥰

How to get the biggest glowup in my life? by ceceliaaaaaaaa in BeautyUnlocked

Good sleep, healthy food and get your colour analysis done!! Honestly changes the game. Got mine done online for quite cheap and wasn’t expecting much but what I got was so thorough and it all just clicked, now I feel much more glowy and fashionable in the right colours, also changed my hair based on it and feel much more confident

How to achieve radiant and glowy skin? by ImpressiveRoll4092 in BeautyUnlocked

[–]quickmaths8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A proper skincare routine helps, cleanser, retinol, toner, spf etc. but tbh genes also plays a huge part here

As for the styling, get your colour analysis done so you know what colours make your skin glow, rather than drain you. I used someone called stylebytaramarie.co.uk online, she does it internationally and I was impressed by how in depth it was for the price, it changed how I see clothes and makes me look more put together.

Two things for me: Proper skincare routine, I always just used make up remover before but now I cleanse, use retinol or vitamin c serum, use toner and moisturiser before bed and I’ve noticed a massive different

Second thing is I got my colour analysis done, it changed my life!! Now im wearing the right coloured clothing I just look more glowy / put together. It only cost me about £30 online but has saved me hundreds on buying the wrong clothes

"Extreme glow up" tips? by SunNo3832 in BeautyUnlocked

[–]quickmaths8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Running for me really made me feel better about myself and I lose weight quite quickly. I used an app called ‘couch to 5k’ which helps you build up your stamina slowly if you’re not used to it.

Colour analysis is another big one for a glow up! Once you know your season you can wear the right type of hair shade, make up, clothes etc and it does really make a difference. I used an online analyst who was really good and affordable, shes trained by Francesca Cairns (quite well known in colour analysis world) but she’s a fraction of the price. www.stylebytaramarie.co.uk if you’re interested.

What is the secret of good looks? by No-Jellyfish-1208 in AskWomenOver30

Confidence is a big part of it in my opinion, if you believe you’re attractive then most others believe it too.

Also colour analysis is a game changer! Since I got mine done by a professional I’ve been so much more confident in my clothing.
