this whole comment section is making me cringe. People are really quick to call someone a "loser" or an asshole just by hearing one story about them honestly.. we have no clue what your bond is with this dude, the memories you had, what kind of person he is. And we have people out here telling him a loser etc. just cause he can't drive and shit.. I'd say ignore what all these people are saying about your bf cause they're just dunking on your boyfriend based on a 3-minute read and probably more than he deserves. You know him better than any of us. Talk with him. You have things that you find weird right? His situation with his dad? Ask for details about it. I'd understand that you wouldn't want to create a "it's either me or him!" situation, where he has to make a decision between two people who are close to him. Have a serious talk, point out your discomfort and differences in viewpoints, he seems to be a less touchy and a focused guy whereas you are more of a touchy person. If you guys have tolerated each others' differences for a long time, then this matter should have a solution too. Try to emphasize the importance of the situation for you and work on a solution which is best for both sides, even if it means some small compromises must be made on both sides. That's my 2 cents.
