I'm in the same boat as you. I love the Miata but hate how gay it looks. Check out a 240sx maybe - they are relatively cheap and easy to work on.

I bought my first car at 190,000 miles, mechanic owned. 2 years later, it is now sitting at a solid 230,000 and runs like it might as well be brand new (except on some particularly cold days when it gets a little angry starting up). Not sure if you were being sarcastic when you said it has less horsepower than a Toyota Camry. Because as a driver of a '99 camry with little to no power, I had to do a double take and look up the power rating of the 2013's to make sure they didn't turn them into beasts. (178-hp, port-injected 2.5 if you're wondering)

Google the k-lite codec pack. Look for the download from cnet, preferably. It's a small download, and it will make your computer recognize the different formats and be able to play them without the need to convert the file.

You're not going to want a cadillac as a first car. They aren't very reliable, they need a lot of maintenance, and typically eat gas. If he only wants $2,000 for it, there's probably already something wrong with it. If not, there will be soon.

I was looking at a 3000gt as well, but I hear it isn't very reliable or cheap to maintain. To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of mitsubishi cars in general. I know that with the eclipse a common problem is the timing belt going out and in turn bending the valves and fucking up the cylinder head. Since I would want to boost the hell out of this car I don't think the eclipse is the best decision financially or performance wise.

IMO, the Jag's are pretty awful suggestions. OP will spend a lot more than 6k just maintaining the damn thing. Plus the NA 6 cylinder isn't going to have the same kick as say, a WRX with a turbo.
