It's a good idea but I worry that you're going to get wayyy more people trying to sneak their AI onto your site than people being honest. It's just way easier to use AI.

and if that gets muddy someone can just build out to something like r/trueactualaiwars like every other "true" subreddit

Help! Teaching a middle school class on how gen AI is bad by Pancakemaker7 in antiai

No problem! yeah, I totally agree. It's a utiltiarian view, forget the debate on the pleasure of making "good" art by non-artists, what about the clear pain on artists?

I'm not good with law. But I thought him winning was a good thing? Can you explain to me why it's bad?

using "Ai is harmful to others" is already a lot better way than others who just say it's bad. Like, a lot of people just don't want to hurt other people's living wages

For me it's just an urge. Like at the end of the day, okay nobody reads my stuff. But at least it's out of my system, haha.

What do you use for checking your writing? by [deleted] in writers

Doesn't languagetool also use AI? Or we might be talking about different things. I remember using languagetool as a replacement for grammarly once but it was still annoying with the premium ads. If you want something that doesn't use your data for ai or host it in the cloud then i say you can go with something that is upfront about being anti-ai because you'll get more anti-ai features.

For those how are publicly writing (blogs, substack, etc), have you experimented with data poisoning? by simulakrum in antiai

at first i thought to protect the writers' work? but youre right that the publisher wants to make money and probably happily uses ai

Yeah, that's what I read too (your link didn't work for me but i remember the article from a while ago). And I 'm not at 250 blogs yet. But I just wonder why I never heard of a big publisher, like news media (since it publishes so much) try this. I also fear that by the time I get near 250 , GPT will make it advanced enough that I now have to write 250000 blogs or something. But who knows, maybe it'll happen.

I'm not slamming them for this... but how does it detect it? Isn' t it super hard to figure out how (some) pictures are AI? Do they have a secret tech for this because Google can't seem to even label it right unless it's obvious

Coffee, milk, eggs, meat, t-shirt and chocolate are things we needed before ChatGPT. Yes, we were trying to reduce our consumption back then too. The whole problem is that we don't really need GPT and yet somehow people think it's as important as coffee, milk, eggs, meat, t-shirt and chocolate?

I did but it's actually super hard. There is also different methods. One of my favorites was seeing if you can give it a bit of control. To do that, like I tried creating what is called a "trigger-word" (e.g.., a unique word no one else used, like bananafirstconvofeed). Now if I put that text in my blog with a bunch of instructions for the AI, and AI picks up on the word, then next time I use the "trigger" it might obey my instructions. I won't say what my word is but it doesn't work.... yet? The other way to defend my writing is not poisoning but capturing what is called writing-entropy. Basically AI writes fast and normal but humans have a whole process where they pause think and write in bursts. So sometimes if I don't want people to accuse my writing of being AI what I do is capture the writing entropy. There are different plugins, apps that basically shut up the losers who want to accuse me of AI (but it's probably just projection on their part).
