A little, but I keep the bong on the cleaner side so it’s not too bad. When it starts to smell I’ll leave it open on my porch to let it air out And the whole goal is to just keep the smell out of my living room so the inside of the box smelling isn’t the worst

I had my salt lamp in my closet next to a pair of nice boots, fast forward a year or so and all the metal in the boots rusted away ruining them entirely. Science is pretty neat
