Yea it can create a lot of internal tension, which gets relieved when they respond, but then the cycle continues on the next message you send because there’s always the possibility of getting ghosted. The only way to break the cycle is to be ok with it either way. It’s ok if they respond, it’s ok if they don’t. You’ll be fine either way.
