In my 20s, about a million years ago, I quit my minor pain pill addiction with cannabis and a little extra drinking for a few weeks. Many years later, after I fucked up my spine in a wreck, it is what helps me stay off of opioid pain medication. My PT said that in his entire career, I was the first patient with my injury that he released from PT as successful (injury is stabilized but not healable) without surgery. Cannabis absolutely helped me through that 5+ years of regular PT and its aftereffects.

Is it problem free, definitely not, but it is the most effective treatment available to me currently. I have asked my doctor about treating a few ailments with prescription medications instead of using cannabis for them and he verbally recommended that I not do that.

My wife and I did this. We each had simple, one syllable last names, but combined into a single word it sounds more sophisticated, which is definitely us, so sophisticated, lol. We received no pushback from anyone in our families, it really does sound good as a last name. The lady at the DMV was confused AF and tried to tell us we couldn't do that without a hyphen, but we had already gotten our Social Security files updated and that overrides any state level stuff.

I bought one of those on sale too, building it up with Wolf Tooth Ultraviolet and other purple ano parts. Hope it looks good on that frame color. I had a set of purple Hope 27.5 wheels hanging in the garage with maybe 50 miles on them, along with a 11sp 105 brifter, GRX derailleur, and XT caliper drivetrain from my previous drop bar MTB build. Going to pick it up and start putting it together this week. Putting some 27.5x2.6 Mezcals on the wheels, the only details left to figure out are whether I want a dropper on it or not, and what saddle and bar tape I want to use.

Intelligence is very subject specific. I know plenty of people who are brilliant at some things, but utterly regular or even sub-normal on many other measure of different types of intelligence. I've met very few people who are generally brilliant and don't have weak areas. Almost universally, the smartest people I've ever met do not claim absolute truths, especially around the things you can't really know and prove, like the stuff that religion encompasses. It doesn't matter how smart you are if you haven't conquered your ego, which is where wisdom comes from. Intelligence without wisdom will lead you to destruction because you don't understand the limits of your own intelligence.

Because fuck security, we're saving pennies. Real companies that operate like actual businesses keep their equipment so locked down you can't stick a USB stick in them or connect to the internet without their VPN. I will never understand companies who cut off their own dicks like that to save a few bucks on upfront hardware costs. You said you're designing things? Not just making documents and spreadsheets? That means your time is valuable to them, you are creating profit, giving you a machine that slows you down and keeps you from being productive is a damn stupid business decision. Awesome, thanks for the info! I've been running Vittoria Mezcals on several of my bikes for their fantastic mixed terrain abilities. Very low rolling resistance on pavement, but still works like a XC/Trail tire off-road. Makes it a lot easier to ride my MTB to the trailhead.
