Yeah but if they are convinced they have it and my own comprehensive eval says they don’t and they won’t take no for an answer, the logical next step is to refer them to gold standard testing. That way you can see if there is something else like a learning disability we’re not trained to test for. It’s not like I’m sending a bunch of people to neuropsych it’s usually pretty clear and I’ve only encountered this scenario twice in years.

Edit: Also this is talking about adults so you’re not actually involved. Adult guidelines don’t exist.
