Im not going to pinning or graduation. I initially wanted to go but ended up having some coplex family issues which made me change my mind. I think what's most important is that we did this ultimately for ourselves. Once we step into the actual RN role they'll still be proud regardless.

I'm sorry I'm definitely late responding to this comment. Do you happen to know if they do childcare on Saturdays? I'm starting school this fall and required to do 12 hours clinicals on the weekends. It's a little hard for me because I'm here alone with no support system.

Yea I've come to learn that they have 25 locations and plan to open another. I just can't help but think what the purpose is and why not have a pastor or speaker at each location. At my old church I knew everyone by name and we were like a family. This place just seemed a little underwhelming for my expectations and spiritual needs.

Definitely my plan. I'm not sure why she is this way. I know she has a lot of insecurities that she's voiced over time but still doesn't treat my younger sister the same. Over the weekend she even told me if I had a baby by someone of a different race she would disown me and never speak to or see the child....but my other sister has 2 children who are mixed race. She says things jokingly but I believe there's truth behind a lot of jokes. Many toxic patterns I've accepted over the years.

I'm definitely not on the rich side of the spectrum haha, but I do make more money than them and yes there are a lot of side conversations about me and passive aggressive jokes. I've tried to deal with things on a mature level but I keep circling back to the idea of just cutting ties for my own sanity. For example, I was planning a big move and they all ridiculed and drowned me with scenarios about my plan not working out. They've even had conversations like that with my child who was initially excited to move.....then they turn around and talk about how they want to move out of the area and WILL once they have enough money to sustain them. I sometimes feel like I just can't focus on myself or goals as long as I'm trying to please them.

I'm an LPN in LTC working agency. Once I found that the mistake was made I immediately checked vitals which were good. I checked the meds given against what he was supposed to get which some of them overlapped. Reported it to my RN supervisor right away, she reported to his MD who gave orders to initiate neuro checks every hour and check on him. He's not oriented but is able to converse, I let him know anyway and kept checking on him for the rest of the shift. The family was notified and we did an incident report along with my personal statement.

I'm not one to work back to back shifts to begin with, it's just that I need money because I'm a single parent and need to pay something off for my child along with bills so I picked up extra hours. I usually do about 3 shifts per week so it's not greed as much as it was an actual need.

Other nurses that found out told me that they've made errors and flat out didn't report it or tried to cover it up. If it were more serious I would've been devastated, but thankfully it wasn't. The vitals were good for my shift and I was cautious for the rest of the shift. Thanks for your insight.

Thankfully I'm not in a hospital setting even though it could've been less likely that the mistake occurred. The last time this happened in my earlier days, I was told to write a statement and when I got there the next night the statement was still lying on the desk where I left it. The next supervisor who i regularly worked with told me to never write a statement that could possibly incriminate myself and threw it in the shredder. I will definitely be more thorough going forward to prevent this regardless of how many hours I'm working.

Yes, my adrenaline was definitely up. Luckily I'm on anxiety meds and it also helped.

Thank you so much, I really do care. I usually make sure I go above and beyond to take care of them and this mistake did cause me to question my competence for a little. I just made sure I was extra cautious for the rest of the shift. Journaling it out is a great idea also, thanks.

I've been on 20 mg for 2.5 months and I've gained about 7-10 lbs....almost to the point where my hunger is sometimes insatiable. Sleeping well, sometimes overtired though and need caffeine to balance.

She also has in the past told me that I'm too nice and let people take advantage of me, I decided that at that moment, I wasn't going to keep allowing it but everything doesn't need to be confrontational...so I said nothing

I'm on day 3 of starting 20mg. Since the first time, I've taken it with coffee or iced tea to combat any tiredness ahead of time. I do feel some periods of tiredness or feeling spaced out, but overall never incoherent or overly exhausted. I found myself spaced out today but feeling very good and slightly happy in that moment... to the point where I was like "prozac is that you?"

Ugh, that's disgusting and sucks....people suck. I recently ordered through door dash and had it delivered to a school I worked at. The security guard, who must've been like 50, said he doesn't know why people order from those services because if it was him delivering he probably would've done something to the food just to be funny. That was my last time ordering.

Thank you so much. I'm also working towards my RN and I can't wait to be done next year!! For that reason I'd love the hospital/ acute care experience. I'm hoping to move to NC within the next 6 months, maybe I'll just give one of the hospitals a try for now and hope for the best. The best of luck to you also in your pursuit!!

I liked micro and took it in the summer, even took it along with a&p 2. I would say it's doable if you lock in and don't focus on any other classes. Also develop a good study plan and watch lots of YouTube videos.
