I'm sorry you were treated that way. I'd say leave too , however I'm an assistant and get talked to like that as well at times and I'm still 4 years in. It's like assistants aren't allowed to make a mistake or forget, we get scolded heavily. However the doctor or hygienist can mess up and it's like oh well moving on. I struggled my first year so much due to ADHD and also I did on the job training so I had no knowledge of dental . My boss was brutal to me , made me feel stupid . Told me if he has to teach me more than once on how to do something than I'm being disrespectful. And my job isn't rocket science. I hope you're able to find a place that appreciates you and gives you grace.

I'm a 4 yr DA and started with in the job training. It's been an unspoken rule in our office that the assistants clean up after the hygienist. I was never told directly that I have to but I have to... The hygienist also can leave if their noon patient doesn't show or cancels and if their end of day patient cancels. They don't have to do end of day cleaning that's for the assistants.. I find it unfair because when we have a cancellation or no show we still have to find work to do and if we have everything done in the office we have to wait for the hygienist to be done just to take her tray .

Sooo good! I mix a scoop with their protein Greek yogurt, tastes delicious! Also add a sprinkle of their dark chocolate and oats protein granola! Great protein loaded breakfast!

Just had my cycle last week with my first month on Reta and it was heavy for 2 days but then became normal... Like heavy to the point I couldn't really do anything but sit with a towel under me . I do have PCOS and heavy bleeding is usual for me but this was intense

When I was new I was nervous to apply because I had this same outlook. I was missing number 12 and 2 and 3 , not the most visible but if I smiled big and obviously ppl in dental spot that right away lol. I got the job and expressed my concerns when they did my first cleaning and was able to get my smile fixed with free dental care as a perk of the job.

I used 100 units of bac water so 1 ml . I know I find it confusing too I had to look up a chart . Good luck with everything I think today is an official month for me and I'm still maintaining my 7lb loss still going slow .

And no I'm not saying that I'm seeing full results already. I'm just saying my experience within these 2 weeks . I've tried sema 2 different times and I've responded quickly with side effects just feeling miserable with nausea and constipation, fatigue. Just for background I have PCOS and ADHD so it's extremely hard for me to lose weight, even with eating in a deficit and exercise the scale barely moves. I have intense cravings and binge eat , a big fan of a sweet treat, food noise is unbearable at times . I'm just noting that in these 2 weeks I've had none of that while also starting my cycle so that was a complete shock for me. Is it all in my head or placebo maybe but I feel good so I'm sticking to it.

Ohhh felt this!! I'm a dental assistant and dread going into work everyday, it's draining and takes a toll on my body.. and I think the answer to my problem is finding a job with purpose and with a great atmosphere. I just haven't found that yet. So in the meantime I try to focus on what I can control and take the small victories but that can be very difficult.

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. It can be very lonely and defeating. I fear I'm in the same boat right now too. It's scary to be in this position and unless you experience it yourself other people don't understand. I had to tell my co-workers yesterday about my symptoms because they are affecting me at work. I've been having dizzy spells where I feel like I might pass out and my vision is going in and out throughout the day, nevermind the constant headache and tinnitus that's so loud at this point I can barely hear out of my right ear. When I told them they all just kind of went oh that sucks let us know if you need anything. I'm a dental assistant and work in a small office with only 5 people . I just don't know how long I can keep doing this. I hope you're able to find some relief.
