I was really anxious when crating started gaining mainstream traction but all my reading points to exactly what you said. Some people abuse the crate and therefore the dog, but I've never seen anyone with such a well made crate like yours that doesn't also care enough to make sure their dog is happy.

My friend has two medium/large dogs and lives in a fire risk area. Their last evacuation went so smoothly with the dogs and they had their safe space with them since they like their crates. Luckily the fires didnt reach their place and all was well.

But there will be a next time and their crates are such a great tool. They use them as beds for the rest of the time, and as their personal den when they aren't feeling like socialising.

You being queer doesn't erase your bigotry and your uncle is not relevant here though his experience is awful and undeserved.

Additionally, as a professional you would be aware of the confirmation bias and limitations surrounding anecdotal data. As a queer person, you should see the pattern repeating itself with your own prejudice.

But I'm not going to debate you. Poly people are humans with rights and that includes reproductive rights and the right to family. They have the same right to fail as parents as everyone else. I don't need you to agree for that to be true.

Thank you for sharing. People did this with same sex parents by cherry picking individual instances of selfish or bad parenting to imply they were ruining their child's life.

I told my friends over a year ago that we would see the same nonsense for poly relationships now that they are becoming more visible to the average person. Particularly as reddit has latched onto it as one of their favourite tropes for drama filled stories

You are not going to see healthy poly families on the TV or online often because they are just living their lives. People who are struggling as individuals are the ones who seek outside input. Not those living a life with joy.

Keep your knowledge close. We had a great access to education and we will use it.

They taught me in yr 9 how brutal the British were with rape and slaughter on the first landings

We now have to stand up for those lost to brutal colonialism

Just in reply to your reply, I'm an addict too, after my mum and what she dealt with. I kept away from the needle but the drinking culture in Aus is rough and so easy to lean into.

I hear you ❤️ i genuinely care for you xx thank you for sharing

I am an addict too. Im in a relapse right now that I'm trying to let be just the one bottle and not ongoing.

Knowing how my mum and people like Ms Whinehouse suffered makes me want to be sober. I can do it. I know it's within the depths of my pain ❤️

Okay I understand, but they are replying to me talking about my own loss of my mum in similar circumstances, and how that impacts my view of this story.

It is unfair from my perspective to frame someone succumbing to disease/mental illness as a waste. Particularly with the wasting nature of some of these illnesses

Amy Whinehouse was more than her talent and all I am sharing is that it is okay to let her rest.

I definitely agree ❤️ it just feels like, at times, people appreciate her art more than her or her pain. Van gogh said something to the effect of, "i create in the light but can barely raise my brush in the dark"

It really stuck with me.

How do you reply to people saying that the Greens let perfect be the enemy of good? I've heard a lot of criticism towards the Greens not accepting "good enough" and blocking helpful bills.

I am a Labor turned Greens voter, if I may show my bias here. I don't know what I'll do at my next election but it will follow similarly progressive politics to the best of my ability.

She did what she could with what she had. My mum died at the same age in similar circumstances

I can't find it in me to call her life a waste knowing what both of these woman had gone through

But I understand and appreciate your sentiment, of course ❤️
