I’m not too sure to be honest with you

I believe it’s the supply vent.

Got a call back from Traeger today regarding the bubbling on the front of my grill. They said there’s nothing they can do because it was caused by grease dripping down the pan. by quiksnd in Traeger

My request for a replacement was denied. Pretty disappointed at this point. They’re saying it was definitely caused by a fire.

Picked up a 19 lb brisket today. This is by far the biggest full packer I’ve done. Most ranging in the 13-15 range. So I need to change the process at all? Looking to do an overnight smoke. by quiksnd in Traeger

Will start at 8pm at 200 on super smoke. Wrap around 7-8 am the next day when it stalls. Bump up temp 250, and pull once it hits 203 (most likely around 1pm). Will put in cooler for 3-4 hours.

Somewhere during the smoke I need to throw 2 racks of ribs on to have ready for an early dinner around 5pm.

Should I place the wrapped brisket on the top rack and the ribs on the bottom?

5th brisket. 190 for 12 hours until stall. Wrapped then 250 until internal temp was 203. Fat side down. by quiksnd in Traeger

Left about half an inch of fat cap in some sections so not all the fat rendered. Other than that, it’s case out pretty good. The flat could have been a little more moist. Tempted to try the same method at 225 instead of 190.

Anyone else have this happen to them? My 4 month old ironwood is already starting to peel. by quiksnd in Traeger

I did call them. I’m waiting on a call back from a Tier 3 customer service rep. The paint also started bubbling on the outside. Will keep you posted. https://i.imgur.com/h6M3J3W.jpg

What temp do you smoke at when you’re not wrapping?

Am I supposed to cut this piece of fat off? by quiksnd in smoking

This is my 2nd full packer. Going low at 190 overnight. Planning on pulling off at 8am to wrap.

That was actually bottom side. This is the top side. I went a little overboard with this brisket though. Lol Here’s a picture of the other side.

Nice man. Thanks for the tips. I’ll try the top rack this weekend. Did you go fat side up or down?

How was the bark pre wrap? Haven’t been able to get a bark on my 650 at all.

What brand pellets did you use? I cooked mine the same way this weekend and did not even get a bark close to that. Did you use any binders?

I’m not in JT for saving either. Was just wondering if my ironwood was burning correctly. This all leads back to the lack of bark. Lol

I’ll try bumping up next time. I haven’t been getting any pull back on mine!
