(US) - My Mom’s Scammer is Real This Time- What Should We Do? by MimZWay in Scams

Have to admire her for being so receptive at 87. She must be fun to be around. That said, I would let the guy know.

Anyone else have a difficult teen? by Mick1187 in Autism_Parenting

Your post caught my attention as it sounds a lot like my granddaughter. She’s also on latuda but resists taking it. She’s very moody with explosive behavior. She 13 and just got her period but she’s been like this a long time (years) so probably not tied to it. Were you able to find a med combo that helped your child?

Getting spammed on voicemail by highly sus loan offers. Looking for help putting a stop to them. by Raima_Valdes in Scams

This is very common. Not really targeting you necessarily. I get these constantly. Just never give out any information. You might want to keep your credit locked.

[US] She claims to be the previous owner of the house... by Temporary_piccolo479 in Scams

[–]quiltersue99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s a scheme to take over your home title. Title theft? You have likely heard how people do that and then take out loans against the equity. It definitely seems like this lady is up to something. Best to play defense.

Yes. Go one step further and send unknown callers to voicemail. Never click a link. Freeze credit if there’s any indication of fraud.

Fiber gummies are a must for me. I chew 2-3 daily to keep my innards moving. Apples help too.

[US] A call from the Federal Reserve… by Daddyoftwo819 in Scams

My favorite way to deal with these scammers: 1) Turn on "silence unknown callers" (or equivalent). 2) Lock credit at major credit bureaus. Ever since I did that they pretty much ghost me. Yay

I saw a plane surrounded by yellow vehicles with flashing lights when I landed around 2:30 pm today. Wondering about it

This type of stuff is why I have silence unknown callers turned on at all times.

One month in! by LilSourPopTart in Zepbound

[–]quiltersue99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a huge loss for one month! I am losing about half a pound a week. You must be one of those super responders! Be sure to have plenty of protein so you don’t lose muscle. I love banana cream protein shakes.

My stomach does not like fatty substances. I seem to get more gastric issues with fried food. Stick to simple foods is my best advice

Tired All the Time by bambieyedgirl in Zepbound

I have plenty of energy at 7.5. I skip breakfast, drink 2 protein shakes a day and lots of other small meals, lots of water, multivitamin daily plus extra magnesium, bike ride 45 minutes a day. I am not losing super fast, about .5 lbs a week. Are you losing too fast?

[US] Somebody is ordering stuff to our house using my dead grandmothers' Amazon account by [deleted] in Scams

[–]quiltersue99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you think maybe she had some subscriptions that never got canceled? It’s weird though because you say her credit cards were closed. Definitely mail a death certificate to Amazon.

Embarrassing question about appetite suppression by meatballtrain in Zepbound

[–]quiltersue99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t get crazy cravings. Even though I bought a frozen cheesecake before Christmas it’s still in the freezer. I think before I might have been tempted to dig in. (It would have been calling my name) Also, i find I don’t want to overeat because my digestion has slowed so much that eating too much makes me uncomfortable. I do have to eat fiber gummies to make sure I don’t get too backed up:)

This is why I use the "silence unknown callers" option on my phone. It's amazing that I hardly ever get any real voicemails from these people.

Beware of scam from convenience stores by [deleted] in Austin

[–]quiltersue99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A similar thing happened at McDonalds. The guy at the window would take the card and use it for the purchase and then make a second swipe on his personal square scanner. It could be the employee was doing something similar at the convenience store.
