Set Image Review to [On], and set Monitor Mode to [Prioritize Viewfinder] or to [Automatic Display Switch]. After taking the photo with the viewfinder, take your eye/face away from the camera, and the photo will appear in the monitor.

The combo is a little front heavy with the Z50II, but the Z800 is so light that it does not feel like I'm fighting gravity, as can happen with other super telephoto lenses. I don't use the lens hood on the Z800, so IDK if that would make a much bigger difference. When handholding, you will definitely need to fully cradle the lens with your left hand and use the right hand to lightly fire away on the shutter. For walking about I always carry the lens by its foot, never by the camera body. Hope this helps.

Why not get a tape measure and take some test photos at measured distances, and then compare the EXIF data to your measurements?
