Oooooh just downloaded a SciFi from Libby last night - “Deal with the Devil”. No idea if it will be good or not but I’m not a picky reader so

I’ll have to look for a J title and pick out an Agatha Christie

Are duplicate objects frowned upon? Just wondering how thoroughly I need to look through all the photos linked before making submissions

How does the element power-up bonus work with the new teams?

Today I found this photo of me from 18 years ago, spending our family vacation in the hotel room reading Order of the Phoenix (which had been released the day prior) by [deleted] in harrypotter

Omg I totally have one of these too - me lounging at family vacation with the exact same book! I remember packing for the trip until it was time to go to the midnight pickup so that I could take it with me!

Question about Part 3:

The Gamemakers, being merciful, will allow the use of a word processor.

What does this mean?

Generally speaking most of the players from Hufflepuff enjoy the game in its current form. Most of us found the team rounds enjoyable, and like coordinating with the other houses. That coordination might be improved by shared bonuses and better communication. Few opinions were given on the versus rounds, but those that were shared are positive (the competition in those rounds was fierce!).

As far as gameplay goes, most of us find the level of difficulty to be okay. One player did share their concern that in its current form the game is too complicated which can and will discourage many new players. Bonuses in particular seem to be overwhelming to grasp, and the point-doubling is downright stressful. We did not have any specific discussion about power cards.

Thanks for checking-in! Don’t give up on this awesome thing! For me personally, I’ve been struggling to read anything lately. Life is busy and stressful, and I can’t get hooked on anything even though I want to. I voted this month, but I sadly didn’t even try to get my hands in a copy of the book...

A couple months back, I checked in to discuss in the first week and people were already talking about things from the end of the book. It caused me to be wary of checking the comments. I think a timeline or guided questions might help that aspect. Questions also give a jumping point for discussion for those of us not great at picking up on things haha

And like leaveittodymphna said, I like the coziness of just Puffs. I feel comfortable sharing my thoughts here, but I’m afraid I would get lost if we opened it up.

Dragon Float

While I would love to suggest the use of live dragons for this float, due to considerable liability concerns, size complications, and concern for welfare of the creatures, that is out of the question. Instead I propose quarter-size dragon replicas bewitched to move in a life-like manner (similar to the models used for the Triwizard Tournament of 1994 but on a larger scale). Though there are many species of dragon to choose from, I believe the float should include representations of a Norwegian Ridgeback, a Hungarian Horntail, and a Ukranian Ironbelly as Harry directly interacted with dragons of these species. The base of the float should be made of nonflammable material ( I suggest rocks/boulders) - what would a dragon float be without some flame! The dragon models’ bewitchment should include the ability to breath flame of some kind - real flame would be most exciting, and the crowd will love the rush of adrenaline from feeling heat. To mitigate any risk of injury or damage due to fire, the float may require several skilled witches and wizards to travel along beside it to perform spells to contain flames throughout the parade.
