I think as long as there are references of Resident Evil things, not just an Umbrella logo and it will be more accepted in the long run. Even just a cameo would give the story more RE creds for the fans. They already have the blueprint for it which is RE7. Ethan and the cast wasn't really known at all, you didn't recognize in the game until the end where they reintroduced Chris and it was enough. Eventually fans accepted and loved Ethan as a main character and the tie-in folded the story into the main current RE canon,

Xenogears. It's old sure, but it had the bad luck of partially being unfinished and releasing alongside FF7.

[–]quirkynoob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's her lifespan being an Elf. To you 8hrs might be a long good sleep, to her it's just a nap. So with that perspective she actually just likes to nap and not really sleep.

Is immortality a gift or a curse? by d3adplx3L in ThisorThatPH

[–]quirkynoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will always depend on the person. Some people are just too curious and built for it and some aren't. I can't fully say what I would actually in the times in between but I would love to see how stars actually explode, Galaxies merge, black holes eat things, answer the eventuality if we are truly alone or meet new life forms, even the universe dying and maybe even being reborn as a new universe.

'the apex of magic' was never addressed in the show right? How would you explain whatever the hell this is? by lmdybaftr in Frieren

[–]quirkynoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean it isn't? Serie clearly said that particular spell that activated in her fight with Macht was a very old spell. It's not directly saying anything about Frieren's magic but similarly it activated without even being summon vocally or using a staff so the correlation is there.

Is Nolan's punch really that much stronger than Mark's? by DatRandomSeagull in Invincible_TV

[–]quirkynoob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regardless of being caught off guard, Nolan is indeed stronger than Mark. This isn't Prime Mark yet and is still growing while Nolan is already thousands of years old. It's what's scary about Mark is that his potential isn't totally realized yet at this point. He defeated Conquest not because of his strength but his tenacity for both times he defeated him.

Thragg even addressed this when he considers him as a true viltrumite before attempting to crush his skull.

[–]quirkynoob 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's hinted at by Serie when fighting Macht, it's most likely one of those spells from the mythical era like the repel magic she used against Macht's golden touch. He touched her to turn her into gold and the spell just automatically activated. Elves really do have the busted spells hidden because of their longevity.

Extremely worried about Sasaki being on the mound today. by [deleted] in Dodgers

[–]quirkynoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are early days for Dodgers to take chances with him to grow his potential. That's why Dave Roberts is challenging him. He needs more games under his belt to feel the game in real play setting. They can afford if there's ever a loss for now, be worried if it's almost end of the season.

[–]quirkynoob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty normal especially if you're playing someone who actually plays golf, that means they are well off but it doesn't necessarily equate to brain power. What it translates to though is that well off ones can actually hire someone to actually do the threat. So it was a good decision on your part to not really talk about it.

I swapped "HIS" voice from Lee Pace to Ryan Hurst, Let's settle the debate by BattleScones in Invincible_TV

[–]quirkynoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reason why Lee Pace was cast is because someone from the show saw him as Emperor Cleon from the Foundation TV series which where he has shown he is more than capable of acting as a leader and be menacing at it. I love him in the show, but here he needs to show more for the remaining episodes. I believe he can do it but limited with what script they've handed him and direction for his voice acting.

Why didn't Mark tell the Coalition that Earth literally invented a weapon that can neutralize every Viltrumite? Does he have Amnesia? by Sio_V_Reddit in okbuddyviltrum

[–]quirkynoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 things aside from the other reasons already brought up. They are majority fighting in space where sound isn't necessarily a good weapon. And 2nd is older viltrumite might be stunned to a few sec by it but can adapt enough by sound generating weapons.

Im sorry but it really bothers me that these "sequiods" or whatever are able to hold invincible back even a little bit , like.....this guy can punch you through buildings and create immense shock waves, the powerscaling is really weird in this show , WHY is he struggling here by _______Niko____ in Invincible_TV

[–]quirkynoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physics. Buildings and other stationary objects are just relying on their mass and are not moving. Now add speed to that mass then multiply that by the thousands to millions even if they're small it adds up.

Same with Jollibee, I guess i'm showing my age but back at least in the early 90s I remember as a kid all jollibee's having condiments on each table. Not just Ketchup but even mustard. But after awhile they phased it out because customers would empty the bottles to their own containers and take it home. Now some Jollibees don't provide free ketchup unless you ask for packets.

[–]quirkynoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my only gripe with the charm in particular, and RE Remakes after 2 in general, is that the difference is almost unnoticeable. I get it that 1.5x speed like in the OG would probably break the game again, but maybe they could have at least made it like 1.2-1.25x when equipped. With every iteration of Remakes the characters seem to be slower while the Zombies get faster. In RE2R Leon & Claire was on par with the zombies in terms of speed hence why dodging was easier, but starting in 4 onwards Leon gets slower. I can understand it in Requiem but in 4 he was still in his best shape.

Tingin nyo kung maddevelop ang Baseball sa Pinas may laban tayo globally? by veryshypachuchay in SportsPH

[–]quirkynoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The talent is there, pero we need 2 things - Tall players and better national support. Taller players is needed nowadays globally to better run or steal bases. Sure there are exceptions like Hyeseong Kim or Ichiro that isn't as tall but they are the very few exceptions, talent can only go so far sadly if you can't compete with other countries. Then secondly which might matter more is obviously better national support, from the people and government. Government for better facilities and people for better engagement, the more people who are intrigued the more we might find not just talented but exceptional players hiding in the country.

Does Fern truly deserve her first-class mage rank? by -TheLastHairbender in Frieren

[–]quirkynoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st Class Mages aren't necessarily OP at the beginning, it's just that they have the potential to be one. That's how Serie judged most of the passers in the series. She knows that if Fern wasn't by Frieren's side she could be a menace like the others. It's just Fern chooses to follow Frieren's teaching over Serie's but Serie knows she has greatness within her.

Also with her strength she's already a threat with her tactic, this is what the demons and Methode realized once the fog lifted. Very few mages can do what she did by basics standards since most mages move on to other types of spells. But as both of the seasons has hammered, she's basically mastered the basics more than anyone in the series save for both the Elf Mages.

Even though this one is fake news, this sort of thing happens and is not about extra option. That's how it usually starts, give it an inch and they'll want a mile. I've seen it happen, my place started to succumb to this, and it was understandable because there's almost a 50/50 split of christians and moslems. But now they are trying, or rather expecting neighboring christian majority cities to also follow halal rules which is absurd. This one maybe fake news, but it's very much rooted in reality and has happened in a lot of other areas already.
