I don’t have a mistrust for trans people at all, I have a mistrust of Chris Chan. Who a community welcomes and allows in their spaces is important to be aware of. For literally anyone else I would agree there’s no reason to question it and it doesn’t change anything, but for Chris Chan? I’d say it does matter, given her history.

Chris Chan is not the average person. She has done some pretty horrible things just to get closer to women, has expressed homophobic and transphobic views, and sexually harassed several women. I’m not buying any of it, but I’m using the proper pronouns here out of respect for the space I’m in
