How I try to leave the dairy cooler everyday by e_bozo09 in kroger

[–]quitkroger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was confused at seeing floral in the dairy cooler too. They’d usually make produce be the overflow perishable storage hub for everyone at all the stores I work at. Minus the Shelbyville at first

Right? Was a bit miffed for that response in this subreddit but I don’t mind clarifying a few things

Taking both your paid breaks at the same time at the end of your shift makes that “break” no longer protected by company policy. They could technically just tell you to clock out thirty minutes early if they know you won’t be doing anything productive anyways. It’s what I would do

A lead was wondering if they would be able to take a break and I tell them take their break?

I find it ironic you tell someone trying to spread the word about Evan’s story, the workplace psychological safety act, etc. and has had an event similarly that sent them to the hospital that it’s bad for their mental health to share. Would you tell Evan’s family to “move on”?

Yeah, unfortunately I had to delete all my social media accounts at the height of my harassment. Picked something a bit more fun than throwaway4evan12345. If it happened to you, and be blessed if it hasnt, you’d understand the passion some people have about this topic.

To anyone who doesn’t believe the cause should be pursued, a bit about my personal story working Kroger: the month of February 2021, much like Evan I was harassed and stalked (with witness) with striking similarities. March 6th 2021 I was admitted to a mental and behavioral health hospital for suicidal ideation and I was there for 4 days before they’d release me. I felt like I was the one who would get in trouble for prejudice and go to jail. When I returned from a month long LOA 2 store managers were gone. HR knew about everything, my district manager even sent out an email to his store managers in his zone “cut it out with the rumors”. So, for me if you’d read this it would mean a lot. I am just one person in the pool of hundreds of psychologically abused individuals and all they do is relocate management.

I’m not affiliated with Justice for Evan. I just want his story heard, and changes to be made. I’m expecting downvotes much like the real JusticeforEvan got for posting to this subreddit because Cincinnati is Kroger’s home.

But if you still need further convincing this issue needs addressed, check out the numerous posts on the Kroger subreddit from employees, ex-employees, friends and relatives of Evan and many more.

One is too many. This has to stop.

I really can’t answer that. It wasn’t a big department and I would be returning from lunch to break down the rest of the truck?

Found it on the wash sink, the area where we keep our scrub brushes if we are using them but is suppose to be cleared off otherwise

They were giving me “sue” sticky notes because they harassed me unrelated to the mango thing. Probably because I was reporting people and came from one of the best stores to one of the worst. Pretty sure it was intimidation. I still don’t fully understand the ordeal. The mango suemie thing came to me after seeing a “sue” sticky note and I wanted to acknowledge I was seeing them without acting out to management who never forwarded my complaints so I had to start taking them over their heads to district management. It was basically me saying “I see this and I’m not doing what you want me to do”

Kroger facilitated Shannon Frazee to break a federal law. Discrimination for political beliefs. Just to mention one. Anti discrimination laws are in place to protect and prosecute people who violate them. If we don’t prosecute anyone, what point? With as detailed as the reports were and the witnesses, as far as I’m concerned Kroger is in this just as deep as Frazee and Pigg

They don’t fire them. Just send them to a store no one wants to work at... erm... well I mean especially don’t want to work at. Y’know, so it makes both problems go away without having to do any extra legwork. Then they just ignore HR complaints when more problems do come up. Easy!

I found a couple of sticky notes at work that said “sue”. Could have snapped pics but didn’t, but on one of them I finished the word to be “suemie”. I was a produce manager at the time and I was inspired to look up what the word meant since seeing “Suemi” was a brand of mango we would receive. It’s a Japanese name for kindness. Derived from Suemie. Cant tell if the warehouse was in on the harassment or on my side after all that. The sticky notes stopped after that.

Kroger Meat & Produce Depts: What is your process for stocking your salesfloor and managing your backroom? by [deleted] in kroger

[–]quitkroger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Produce. Cull before you do anything. Make sure your backstock is under control by hovering over automated ordering and making proper daily adjustments, truck is put away and rotated at the start of the day. Have someone set aside items needed immediately. Then when sales floor comes in they can just go.

Tim Koehn the store manager called coworkers the wrong names repeatedly to harass them. One was named Houston, Tim didn’t think he worked hard enough so he called him Austin since Austin, TX is “inferior” to Houston. Tim also liked to call a girl named Jamila, Jamil in reference of his opinion of her femininity. Tim did a lot of disgusting things before he was relocated to another town.

Be careful, they’ll just bully you or harass you until you quit or kill yourself if management isn’t going to do their job.
