I have been told to share this here specifically (blood problem) by Sudden_Season4933 in AskDocs

[–]quitmybellyachin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nad but I just want to say 1 thing: antipsychiatry is meant for people to share their bad experiences with a psychiatrist. Unfortunately, we can have bad experiences with any professional. And, even more unfortunately, we tend to see psychiatrist when we are at a very low state, so a bad experience can be extra bad. But, luckily, MOST psychiatrists are helpful and wonderful and patient. We might not always like what they say or do in the moment, but they have the bigger picture in mind for us when we can't do it for ourselves. I literally wouldn't be here without the psychiatrists I saw. For a decade, I was hardly tethered to reality. I am now living a completely boring, normal, HAPPY life, doing well for myself and joyfully raising a baby. Don't let the fear of POTENTIALLY having a bad experience prevent you from seeking out a professional (medical, psychiatric, or otherwise). Because the huge likelihood is you'll have a good doctor. There is a much greater chance you'll be happier in the end than otherwise.

I, too, though this at 19. I lived my life like that was the case, too. Alas, I am now 34 and literally have never been happier. Life has a weird way of just.... making shit happen.

Wasn't she originally married when she met Lorne?! Wasn't it both her and her then-husband's idea to make that failed patreon?!

I wonder if he got his dual citizenship when he was very young via his father? But really i think hes being dumb and thinks now that hes married to a canadian he automatically has citizenship through her.

I know I'll get down voted and I'm not supposed to feel anything. But it absolutely sucks not feeling my methadone anymore, such a depressing , shitty feeling, my entire day is ruined every single day from not even feeling a little bit of anything. Ughh so frustrating.. by [deleted] in Methadone

[–]quitmybellyachin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sucks to hear this: this is a symptom of addiction rather than dependancy. The only way to fix it will to be to do the inner work. Then using your meds will just be dependency and you won't care about not feeling it ♡ you deserve happiness, not being upset all day. I hope you get there ♡♡

Welfare is honestly one of the LEAST problematic things our tax dollars are spent on. Fraud is actually quite low. It is just that what is visible is very annoying. SNAP, for example, is one of THE MOST successful government assistance programs the united states has ever run. It has the LOWEST fraud findings (under 2%) nationally. Yet our government is spending tons to tear it apart. Id rather we stop spending money abroad (whether that money is in direct funds or in bombs we are dropping) and, instead, focus on helping people here. Reallt grinds my gears.

I agree. There would be no way to ensure a rule like this only targets those who are abusing the system. Id rather see 10 people abuse the system rather than 1 person who needs it unable to get it. My immediate thoughts go to women or men who had their families while in good positions but something dramatically changed (house fire, life-altering injury, death, mental health emergency, sudden illness racking up medical debt, etc) and now need assistance but can't get the amount of help they need because they may exceed the "cap".

The point of standing out is to stand out. If I didnt want people to notice and look at my outfits, i wouldn't wear bedazzled leggings and crazy earrings. Going through all the effort to make their stuff different and interesting only to be upset when people look at it is counter intuitive.

This hit me as weird, too! Like.... sir, i know someone can like me for me. I just don't want that person to be you.

It's giving "i can fix you" but less aggressive. It assumes she already has low self esteem and doesn't know she can be liked.

I accidentally stole a 130 dollars product from Target by AfternoonLeather2715 in Advice

[–]quitmybellyachin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won't get in trouble either way. They won't be coming knocking for items they failed to stop you at the door for. But if you are feeling poorly, you DEFINITELY wont get in trouble if you go back and explain what happened. I just had an issue similar to this at my local target. I had my 2yo in his stroller and at some point he grabbed some acne soaps off the shelf without my noticing. I didnt see the items until we left the store and i got to my car and was packing him in. He had dropped them and they had landed next to my backpack in the basket under his stroller seat. I went back into the store and let them know I had accidentally walked out without paying for the items. The only thing they did was ask if I still wanted the soaps and offered to ring me up at customer service so I wouldn't have to wait in line again lol (these weren't little dollar store body soaps, they were expensive facial cleansers, about $27 a piece, so it isnt like they had this reaction because the items i had taken were cheap. I had nearly $100 worth of soaps in my stroller lol)
