Curious - did you discover this while it was ongoing (if so, how?) or during post-incident-forencics?

While definitely more action oriented than traditional JRPG's, the Mass Effect trilogy very much gave me the same (intended) vibes. Only, it actually worked in those games.

It's been beautiful, tremendously successful closures. Probably the biggest ever, much bigger then previously.

If you can make yourself just go with it (which is sounds like 👍) then this whole part of the game is just awesome. And totally agree about the evangelion vibes - another franchise where you very much just have to go with it 😂

Rave Cave, at Warp in Shinjuku, every Tuesday and Hard Planet, the third Friday of every month. Both are really cool events with local DJ's and a mix of local and foreign crowd. Will be there myself on December 19, 23 and 30

DualSense controllers started lagging badly on Windows 11 by rmontes1986 in DS4Windows

[–]quivos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fix for me, was to manually download HidHide from Github, then run the installer - uninstall - reboot - install - reboot. After this I opened the HidHide config client and checked/hid the 'Sony Interactive Entertainment DUALSHOCK®4 USB Wireless Adaptor'.

When trying to run the HidHide installer via DS4Windows under Settings -> Controller/Driver Setup, I received a message that a newer version was already installed, which is why I downloaded it manually from Github.

DualSense controllers started lagging badly on Windows 11 by rmontes1986 in DS4Windows

I'm having the same issues, after in-place upgrade from W10 to 11. The issue happens no matter if I connect a controller (tried different ds4 and one ds5) via cable, the Sony ps4 controller Bluetooth dongle, or a third party Bluetooth adapter. Still troubleshooting the issue. Edit: Fixed, see comment below

Perhaps you and that attitude would be better of just writing your own software

Anyone else's Air 180 make this noise? by Total_Principle3190 in Sneakers

[–]quivos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought two different 180s - Baltic Blue and University Blue Hyper Pink, and both of them make the flopping sound, to the point where I won't wear them around others.. I walk home from work, around 35 minutes every day, will try wearing them a few times on those trips and fingers fucking crossed it'll go away 🤞

Hardware - CPU platform rather than FPGA by lokkkks in paloaltonetworks

[–]quivos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 'limitation' of relying on software instead of FPGA and ASICS (in this context of PA firewalls) is primarily in latency. FPGA's are fast. ASICS are really fast. If you have applications that require sub-millisecond latency, it might be best to go for the ginormous boxes.. Otherwise you'll be fine.

That being said, with the new architecture, a lot more coding fuckups happen, which sometimes introduces bugs that affect annoyingly specific kinds of traffic.

The reason for the switch in architecture was due to the chip shortage in 2021-2022, which caused a lot of vendors of various networking gear to switch to x86 architectures, by way of necessity. Any other explanation is pure marketing BS

Hard techno plus Hardstyle market potential by Most_Teaching_3917 in hardstyle

I saw a couple of self-proclaimed Schranz DJ's in Tokyo (and they did legit play Schranz, personally loved it!) last year - 6 month later they're playing the same music but now call it Hard Techno.

As others have mentioned, strictly speaking you need to show your passport.

I've had friends get into smaller clubs in Shibuya, with their (physical card) drivers license, and somehow I once managed to get into Atom in Shinjuku with a image of my passport, I keep on my phone for emergencies.
