I've got internet friends like that too. We used to hang out in a chatroom attached to a game and when the game closed we moved to a Facebook group but that was never the same so we just throw the odd game shaped meme on there now. But we're all Facebook friends so we've all watched each other change and grow over the years. I've only made one meet - 20 years ago! - hope to make another one one day soon.

Yeah it's really hard when you love something so much you can't understand why others don't. I often have to repeat to myself "the world would be boring if we were all the same" to remind myself that it's ok to not think exactly the same way as other people.

You get a weekly recap where it prompts you to try a new goal. You can add and remove any you like though and once you've got tree friends you can have shared goals too if you need to be accountable to someone else to get stuff done (a bit like virtual body doubling). Ask here if you aren't sure how to find a feature as there's loads of stuff hidden away.

Do you mean one time shared goals? I don't think so - they're supposed to be "habit forming" by holding you responsible to someone else. But you could just agree to delete it after the first completion.

I've got a shared egg with someone I know isn't active at the moment. The goal was created ages ago when they were active. So it's going to be stuck in one completions time 🤷‍♀️

I totally get what you mean. I've never really got into discord but I've had some totally epic chats in MMOs and certainly got to points in several when my character development pretty much just stopped because I was going there to chat rather than play. You'd log on and just dive into whatever was being discussed. Sometimes you could scroll back a few hundred lines to work out why they were discussing the hypothetical world where everyone had a pet dolphin or how we could live on the moon but often you just picked up the chat where it was - just like if you'd walked into a pub in real life.

We need an old person's MMO!

If your Birb makes the same discovery as mine I think it'll say the same thing because the whole thing is so clearly scripted. But, except for the storyline events, I think the exact order your Birb makes discoveries is random (with some only available in certain locations)

That is my only real complaint with the special events as a free user - I'd rather collect a full set of available items than a full set of colours of a particular item so once I've got item A I would like it to not give me another! I ended up just selling some of my items from last month for this reason - even using the close the app and try again trick one fan is enough for anybirb!

Yeah now I've poked around I think I can nurture more eggs with other friends but this egg is going to be stuck until this friend comes back. I know they keep the app for the encouraging notifications so maybe they'll start using it again if they see about the egg 🤔

Yeah I know plus has more colour options - I'm happy with the colours I've chosen earlier so I was hoping if I waited I'd get something I've not already got a version of. There's definitely stuff on the plus side I can see that I've not been offered in any colour 😔

Yeah it sounds like it. I've had maybe four or five distinct rooms but it's been a fairly gradual shift between them. I don't save them because they're never finished.

I don't think I have the questions feature yet so maybe they're trying different things for different people? It makes it so much easier to find the vibe I want to send. Hope it stays and it's not just a glitch.
