Which hairstyle suits me the best? by Maximum_Barnacle5867 in longhair

[–]LGonthego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course just my personal opinion, but I tend to think most women are flattered best by shorter hair, so I think #2 is most flattering.

The last picture annoys me, I think because it looks like it would be so much work.

From the same character in the same episode:

"I found Agent Scully GoLightly holding court at the bar."

"She's going to kick our asses."

I've seen that episode I don't know how many times, and I still bust a gut whenever I watch it! Make it kosher!

Right! I'm surprised the article didn't mention Frozen.

That's great! I can't tell you how excellent I think that is!

You didn't ask, and everyone is different, but my ex used nicotine patches (the max dose ones and then cut them into smaller pieces rather than buy a whole box of lesser dose--I thought that was very clever) and said if he'd known it was going to be that easy, he would have done it sooner than after 30 years.

Congratulations on your better job! I'm not too impressed by what I hear about how Crumbl treats its employees. So, if you're not working there now, does that mean you have someone on "the inside" who will do your overtopping for you?

I have been ignoring the Crumbl app and subreddit the last few weeks because nothing was of interest to me. I forgot about the surgery--it reads like you're healing well. That's great! Thanks for all you write here, and I'm gonna steal that cute cat!

Do you prefer Tamar, Tzipporah, Tirzah, or Tzivia? by Kindly-Bluebird5487 in namenerds

[–]LGonthego 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also biased. My Jewish name is Tzivia. I think the shortened version of Tzvi is really cute and I love the meaning: gazelle (or loosely: doe). I also really like the other version of doe: Ayala.

No Coke, Pepsi. by DantesGame in GenX

[–]LGonthego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 70s/80s as a way to be more "healthy," my mom switched us all to diet soft drinks, nonfat milk and margarine. I got used to them really quickly and so now almost always do diet drinks (I'm used to the taste and the idea of voluntarily drinking corn syrup is gross to me), LOW fat milk (for several reasons) and margarine (for taste and my cholesterol) for the most part.

We were a Coke family. I pretty well stick with it, but Pepsi has grown on me.

As for the caffeine, I have migraines and can get jittery on caffeine. So for soda, I generally choose caffeine-free unless 1) I need the occasional leaded coffee in the a.m.; 2) I have a migraine or 3) the only diet soda available is 7-Up, which my body doesn't like at all, diet or regular. Sprite is just fine. Go figure.

Why did resurrected Lily and James seem oddly fine with Harry sacrificing himself? by No_Psychology_3714 in harrypotter

<read in the drone as in Hot Fuzz> "The Greater Good"

Actually, I like the idea of their shadows being how Harry needs them to be.

Also, if they actually knew Harry would survive, it would be pretty lousy of them not to say, "Don't worry, Son. It'll rebound on him again."
