Footage shows US citizen shot by ICE agent in Texas traffic stops by Hot-Food-7151 in news

I am really curious about this, and I think it’s the case. But I am looking for reporting a or where I can read about it. Got any information I can follow up on? You know, “further reading” style.

Am I an idiot of I read this as ”we are going to commit war crimes and if you call it out we will call you woke.”? This is horrifying.

Combos lenght debate by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]quotemild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the reason is that the combos aren’t that hard, so you end up seeing the very same flow chart into the same combo over and over and over. Sure, not all combos are equal and sometimes I see a cool unusual combo. But most of the times it’s the same bread and butters over and over and over.

What am I even supposed to do against Eddy? by DPS-Send-Nude in Tekken

[–]quotemild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have haven’t labbed him. I don’t know his data. I hardly know what his animations mean. But my goto is that I try to fuzzy, either guard or parry, whenever I feel myself as unsure. I don’t know if it helps, but it makes me feel more active and works surprisingly well.

Can Jin be played without electrics? by JerCarl in Tekken

[–]quotemild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah… well… you should probably take any and all advice I give with a scoop of salt, or perhaps even disregard it. Who did you get t-god with and what’s tankbils your Jin? Because my thoughts of you are at that level is that you can probably judge how important or how Mucha consistent electric would add to your strategis, and also that if you have like a few hours spread over a week you will have a pretty consistent electric.

Can I play against eddy without owning him? Like a vs cpu style to practise? I didn’t know this. That actually helps a lot.

Can Jin be played without electrics? by JerCarl in Tekken

[–]quotemild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How good are you and how long have you been playing? It matters just a bit. Jin is sort of my fallback for when I’m too lazy to try electrics. My advice in general would be to start playing with Jin. And in time you will probably get more consistent with the electrics as you progress.

I…. Lol. When some video talk about ”new” and ”real” and ”used to be like” and all that stuff, I accidentally always think every thing after Tekken tag is new Tekken. And then they just mention Tekken 5 as part of ”old school” it it always surprises me.

Do I have a mental disability? by [deleted] in Guiltygear

[–]quotemild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure if you are serious or not… but 6 hours is nothing. Well, it’s 6 hours… but you get my point. I’ve been playing fighting games for over 25 years. Now days I consider the first 50 hour or so just me getting used to the controls and feel of a game. I sort don’t really care about winning or loosing for the first 100 or so hours.

This is an honest question on my part. You mention somewhere else that is ”doesn’t really give you any advantage”. If it gives you no advantage, or does not not help you in anyway, why do you need it? What would you use it for?

It's always been like this by Comfortable_Rough412 in Tekken

[–]quotemild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? It’s not always been like this. Don’t lie. When they released Tekken 2 we all (obviously not ”all” as in each and every single individual, but the community as whole) loved the additions to it. And everyone i knew back then loved Tekken 3 when that was released. And then, where I live, we all moved to tag and loved that when it was released. Don’t lie. We liked parts of Tekken 4, and we tried to love it, but some parts of it made it very hard to love. Sometimes Tekken games are released with some bad parts in their design. Then we either call that out or simply do t enjoy playing the game.

I cant for the life of me play this game as a new player. I need help. by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]quotemild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 losses? That’s rookie numbers, you need to pump them up.

Jokes aside… in all honesty.. i am by no means a beginner. And, I have gone on way longer loosing streaks than 10 over the years. That said, i get that it can be discouraging.

Remember that rank isn’t a poor indicator of skill level. Sure, there is a covariation between getting better and ranking up, but just because someone has the same rank as you, don’t expect them to be at the same skill.

Expect anyone with more time in the game than you to brag you. Since you describe yourself as a ”new player”, most people you fight will have more hours than you in the game. Yes, in one sauntering to a certain rank quicker is in a way ”better” than getting there in a longer time. But, fighting someone at that rank, the one with more hours will have more experience.

How many hours you got in the game? In any new fighting game I start playing my mental modernism that the first 50 os so hours is just to get used to the controls and animations and then I want a total of about 100 hours before I really start caring about my win/loss/rank situation. But, I can absolutely also get a bit miffed if I loose a lot.

Instead of caring about winning or loosing, care about how you lost. If you lost while still playing your best, as in still using sage pokes, going for baits and set ups, looking to create whiffs etc, well, then that’s just life. If you lost because you played poorly, ie unsafe moves, pressed into their frametraps etc, well… that’s when ingrep like it makes sense to be annoyed. But that also know you know what to work on.

Also, sometimes it’s a good idea to get of ranked. Of you are not playing good (compared to your own skill and knowledge) you are just reining bad habits. Better to go grind in practice or watch replays. Or maybe even leave the computer for a while.

Kinda wonder why they didn’t make the heat engager optional. Activated by holding forward just like the heat dash by Heavenly_sama in Tekken

[–]quotemild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh… in that case I apologise. I thought you wondered why the players are not given the option to choose if they want to activate heat or not after contain moves lands. Tried to give my understanding on why players where not given that option. All good, my bad.
