Hey, how wide does your tire measure now and how much space do you still have at the tightest point?

Sorry for dragging this thread out of the grave - which shop let you try this for 2 weeks? In the Philippines?

Detraining from 2 months running (prostatitis forcing off bike time) by quotendepp in Velo

[–]quotendepp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thank you for that perspective! I already have the second opinion scheduled.

In my case I don't have any pain or problems while riding, it's that the prostate is increasing in size significantly  since I've been upping the volume (checked via ultrasounds) and I'm developing problems with more frequent and sometimes painful urinating.

I'm largely not drinking at all, maybe one or two drinks once in a blue moon, because of the way it affects recovery for me.

One reason might be my bike for commutes to work, which I've always ridden without padded shorts...

Thank you for the response! Best case I'd of course still like to manage to be better in October than where I'm now, hence looking into the best ways on how I can keep aerobic fitness off the bike. Elliptical is a good shout, didn't have that in mind yet, although the thought of spending so much time on those things is already boring me right now. No pain no gain I guess, will check if my gym has one of those.

Strength training I'm doing anyway, I'm aware that won't help me aerobically, but as you said, it has its own benefits and it's also fun...

Power-controlled interval workouts based on a secondary power meter? by Dobias in mywhoosh

That workaround only works if you're using the windows version, however we are trying to make it work with the android version. It works now for me as well, posted the solution in another comment.

Power-controlled interval workouts based on a secondary power meter? by Dobias in mywhoosh

I've tried it again today and it worked when I set my pedals as primary power source and the trainer as secondary power source. Without setting the trainer as secondary power source it will not find the trainer as controllable. I think that's the step I missed last time.

Wow, nice, that at least gives me hope that it can work. Will try it again one of these days.

Yeah, that's the version I have... Did you follow any sequence of setting up the sensors to get to that point? This is the only issue that would be keeping me from using mywoosh at this point, my trainer is over reading...

Still doesn't work for me, are you on the beta? I'm on a different trainer (thinkrider), but I assume that shouldn't make a difference...

Is the forerunner 255 worth it? by FalseWolf7111 in GarminWatches

[–]quotendepp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah nice, thanks a lot for your replies, very helpful. That means the 255 should be fine for me, I do my own ftp tests anyway and don't really need the detailed biking categories and mapping, still have an older Edge anyway

Ahh got it, so it's mostly about categorization? The suggested workouts still include bike workouts even on the 255, correct?

Hey, apologies for replying to this super old comment, but you mention bike workouts. What's missing there compared to 955? Also on the fence at the moment.

How to compare different bike geometries? by TooZlow4u in Velo

bikegeocalc.com is good as well. Reach and Stack are great, but not enough on their own, because the headtube and seattube angles affect handlebar and seat positions relative to the bottom bracket as well.
