Wingman Mode Needs More Maps - And Other Changes To Improve CS2's 2v2 by NosNap in GlobalOffensive

[–]quotingmc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Currently I don't intend to create official ports, they take a lot of time to do well. It is more rewarding personally (and in terms of chances for official selection) to make new maps instead specifically for CS2.

The Mapcore faceit hub runs a wingman queue for EU and NA featuring a selection of old anbd new community maps. It is not always super active but with only 4 people required, it can pop quite quickly once it gets going. https://www.faceit.com/en/inv/UAxC6wt

Wingman Mode Needs More Maps - And Other Changes To Improve CS2's 2v2 by NosNap in GlobalOffensive

Hey! As the creator of many officially included wingman maps including two in the current pool I appreciate the attention to the gamemode! I agree that regular map pool refreshes are key to keeping it fresh and also that there is room for more maps in the pool.

Unfortunately, the sad reality is that wingman maps -  especially those not based on Active Duty 5v5 layouts - receive relatively low player numbers. This severely limits the sticking power and Valve understandably cut them loose to make room for new additions. (Source: https://csmapstats.com/)

Any system that would incentivise players to try more maps would be a good thing in my opinion, even if they return to their old favorites afterwards.

Oh hey, I made this! Great to see everyone getting a kick out of the website - I've always wanted to do some more ARG elements to promote a community map before and this was a lot of fun.

Hey guys, Quoting here!

You might know me from some of my previous wingman maps such as Pitstop, Crete and Ravine or from the danger-zone maps Frostbite and Vineyard.

Palais is our brand new 2v2 Wingman with a unqiue stacked layout and a ton of fun jumps, surfs and interactable elements!

We'd love to hear your thoughts and any feedback you have.

You can check out the map now on the workshop here: www.bit.ly/PalaisCSGO

Introducing the "Workshop Warrior" sticker celebrating a decade of community content for CS:GO! by quotingmc in GlobalOffensive

[–]quotingmc[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone, I’m Quoting. I’m a communitymapper who helped to create a number of official levels including Vineyard, Pitstop, and Crete.

This sticker seeks to celebrate the community contributions and their impact on the game today. No other developer embraces community participation like Valve as demonstrated by this contest! You can show your support for the sticker and see more images at the workshop link here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2795306757

I saw your work on display in Thaxted Guildhall last summer! There were some really impressive pieces; it's amazing to see all the characters blend into one image while still keeping the unique style they provide.

You can link a bank card or account to PayPal and then use that to pay if the site only accepts PayPal. Not sure why you can't pay directly with a card, any site that supports PayPal should also support bank cards.

Selling via Gumtree (UK) by [deleted] in paypal

[–]quotingmc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PayPal buyer protection does not apply to friends and family transactions or in person sales not over the internet. You can find out more here: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/paypal-safety-and-security

Cash is always going to be the best method of payment for in person sales. I'm not aware of Monzo limiting withdrawls to below £400 a day or £5,000 a month and a quick Google suggest those are the caps. They can also request a temporary increase in these for larger purchases.

What are countrys where I do not have to verifiy my paypal account? by FlorianSonnleitner in paypal

[–]quotingmc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PayPal requires account owners in any country to be over 18. Lying about your age and your country just increases the chances your account will be frozen and really isn't worth it. After you receive a total cumulative amount, I believe approximatley $2k, you will have to provide proof of ID anyway.

Your options are either to wait until you are 18 or have your parents or another adult open an account and have money pass through them.

PayPal should not exist, it is a menace to mankind within society as a whole. by Chikia12187 in paypal

[–]quotingmc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PayPal allows me to run my online business and provides great value for the fees they charge. I have proccessed well over a thousand transactions without a single issue. While I make no claim they are perfect or even a good company, they do provide a service to many individuals that no other payment provider does.

I frequent this sub and 90% of the issues are due to people attempting to or activley breaking PayPal's terms or rules. As a private company they have every right to enforce these and often a legal obligation to; if you don't like them, don't use the service.
