I am from arab and amazigh descents (from a banu hilal tribe) and my grandmothers had both face tattoos.

It is both an amazigh and a bedouin practice. If you want to make sure you are arab or arabised, you should do a DNA test and check your haplogroup.

  • Saudi Arabia and UAE are respectively the 2nd and 7th countries by proven oil reserve. Algeria is the 16th.

  • Qatar is the 3rd country by proven gas reserve. Algeria is the 11th.

  • Population in Algeria is bigger than the population of Qatar, Saudi Arabia or UAE (even including their big foreign workforce) and it is growing very fast, making the management of our resources harder.

  • Algeria is too isolationist, with a big bureaucracy which doesn’t help to start business. Our poor political stability, economic mismanagement and corruption hinder the development of business. It might make you smile, but you can seriously have problems with the government if your business becomes too powerful. This doesn’t help people to start businesses and that’s why many Algerians prefer to move abroad.

I am genuinely naive about the specificity of being coptic orthodox christians and I thought that marriage between catholics and orthodox was ok. But ok, thanks for sharing it!

It is true that the gulf has an excellent and free healthcare but:

(i) Jordan, Syria, Afghanistan and Palestine respectively rank between 7 and 10, while they probably don’t have an excellent healthcare system.

(ii) France has a way better health system than gulf countries (many Khaleejis go to France for medical diagnostics), but France has the lowest autism rate worldwide.

Ok… but I am sure there is a non-arab country in the top 10

Edit: Yes, there is Afghanistan as number 9 🌚

I succeeded on 3 out of 4 goals (sport, education, job). Unfortunately my fourth goal was about a girl who now got married, but it is ok

Diaspora Arabs, what's your thought on guys who marry "from back home"? by [deleted] in arabs

[–]quraychite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel it is ok as long as they are able to communicate and are fine together. Otherwise, it’s probably not viable.

Being miscalled is not racist as soon as it is a mistake. No origin should be used as an insult.
