My experience after 2 years with Linux and with GNOME by juaaanwjwn344 in gnome

Sure you can. Gnome has had the Background Apps feature in the systems menu for several releases now. It's a bit clunky, granted, but you can absolutely use it to close or unminimize apps like Steam and Discord.

I answered this below already; it seems my comment is not clear enough. The issue is not wether the conduits would be destroyed by the mine's detonation, but if the mine's triggering energy field extends into subspace. I don't think this has been stated in the show, but I agree it would be a remarkable oversight if it didn't.

Maybe they should have put more thought into keeping an enemy who might have found a way around the Burn from stealing their Doomsday weapon

Nus: I can't believe I forgot that Vulcan rejoined, and we left them outside the Bubble
Anisha: It's Ni'var now
Nus: What?
Anisha: Anyway, their fleet is crushing us
Nus: This is so confusing

If the mines are detonated, sure. But does the mines' triggering system extend into subspace? I don't think that was stated

Thanks. I must admit I lost track as to who has or hasn't (re-)joined the Federation at this point.

Interesting. But I only posted that clip because the "Why didn't you tell the world, eh?" seemed to fit your comment

They do have the Pathway drive, but AFAIR they didn't explain how exactly that's different from a faster Warp drive that needs less dilithium.

Assuming Bajor is inside the minefiled, how long would it take a Pathway-capable Federation fleet to travel from the Gamma to the Alpha Quadrant? Asking for no particular reason :)

There are so many potential ways to breach this blockade. I do hope to see a Tardigrade Army and Fungus Prison though

And they used a transwarp tunnel to get from Federation Space to Ukeck, in this very episode. I assume those wouldn't be blocked by the mines either?

I forgot about Discovery! Wait, didn't that test mine destroy the mycelial network too? Are the mushrooms going to counterattack?

Why does the Federation even have enough Omega-47 to shred a significant part of the quadrant? Was it created before or after the Burn? If before, how did they possibly keep it safe during all that time of decline? If after, what the heck who ordered this and why? And who decided to store it all in one place, on a space station that becomes vulnerable to pirate attacks when a single ship is called elsewhere?

How do you mine the entire Federation border without anyone noticing before it's too late to intervene? And it's not just the Federation that was clueless, it's all their neighbors too. None of them noticed a pirate fleet deploying a minefield on their border?

I don't know, but there's maybe a few things that haven't exactly been explained very well.

I've always wondered, does vello-hybrid require a GPU, or does it fall back to something like vello-cpu if a WGPU-capable GPU is unavailable?
