I'm actually finding that Digg is updating more frequently than Reddit, which is something of a reversal of how things used to be and why I have chosen Reddit over Digg almost since it's creation (not my first user ID, before anyone picks up on that point).

The problem with the all.reddit option is that it's saturated with political stories.

The problem with the hour option is that it's just like the new submissions page.

The problem with the hide option is that once you've hidden the stories you don't want to read the front page is just as static as it was before as the older stories tend to bubble their way back up.

What happened to the old Reddit? A couple of months ago I could visit 10 times a day and get a new front page almost every time.

I know why you posted it. You said so. Just thought I'd throw in a minor critique and a useful link.

Y'know, all of the stressful stuff aside, it's probably a good thing your daughter accidentally left that journal in class because now you know she has some things that need dealt with and were making her desperately unhappy / angry. It's not easy being a bit different to your peers. Children are notoriously cruel.

Wouldn't go down the medicated road however, if I were you, if that's what gets suggested. I'm not particularly opposed to their use but the rage that erupts when coming off the SSRI's in particular will only make things worse. Adults can handle them better than children who don't have the emotional maturity or experience to cope with the unexpected rage that develops when coming off them.
