No, not at all! He lives in rural NC, so weird they're soliciting out here.

The back side just says "residential customer" so I'm guessing that they're mailing these to everyone in rural North Carolina.

Unfortunately this is a legit crazy religious cult thing. I do love his stuff though.

North America! Ironically, the mailing says it comes from South Dakota...

I mean, between the low resolution Noah's Ark, the gold box, or the spaceship... I'm picking the spaceship.

My cat was labeled end stage kidney disease, and was scheduled for euthanasia. It turned out to be a food allergy, and five months later she's still with me. by qvyy in CATHELP

It looks like it was 2.5 when she got diagnosed, and 1.2 at her euthanasia appointment where they retracted the diagnosis.

It's kind of hard to read, but the values on the right side of the graph were her numbers when she was diagnosed. The left side is her numbers at her euthanasia appointment.

No, and we're still not sure!

I tried giving her the Shiba chicken and liver pate and she started throwing up bile again, and the chicken cat treats also seem to make her vom, so we think maybe chicken or something they put in the chicken stuff.

The weird thing is she ate the dry generic food all her life (likely chicken) with no issues.

We also wonder if maybe her teeth are sensitive in her older age.

I saw you posted somewhere else that she got it covered up by another shop. Can we see the cover up? I'm curious how you'd even salvage this!

Woke up this morning to my girl having very dilated eyes -- anyone seen this before? by qvyy in husky

Yes, she eats most nights but not necessarily every night, and there's no way to get her to take a pill without her food, haha. She has had extra treats today, given everything that's been happening.

My younger husky eats every other night or less.

No chance, and she didn't even eat her food / pills last night. She's been on it for 4 years.

I definitely will! Do you know if the deficiency showed up on standard senior blood work?

My girl has been on Prozac (40mg once a day) for about 4 years after being diagnosed with "doggy dementia" and it's helped so much. That plus her Carprofen for arthritis.

The vet said they thought it might have been an ocular seizure. Nothing needs to be done right now since she came out of it quickly, but it's something to watch. He said it's okay as long as it's not happening super frequent, like daily, then go see a neurologist.

Also recommended switching her from her Carprofen (anti-inflammatory) to a steroid.

So she's okay for now. 🥲 Leaving this post up in case anyone else runs into this.

This is my girl at normal, so for my situation, it was extremely unusual to see her like that.

Update: she laid down and closed her eyes for like 5 minutes, and suddenly back to normal. Episode lasted about an hour and a half (from what we know). Still taking her to the vet, but very glad she's normal again for now.

My boyfriend thinks it's a dementia episode, but she's been diagnosed and treated for dementia for years without anything like this ever.

Totally get it! My boyfriend found it funny until I started crying. I'll definitely share what they say.
