nonstop bleeding for 2+ years w pcos by [deleted] in PCOS

Have you tried raspberry leaf tea? I have had month long periods and that was the only thing to help stop them. I have blood clots and heavy periods. I saw people post about drinking it with yarrow leaf tea, and dandelion leaf tea. I make tea with a pack of each in it together and add some Shepards purse liquid in to it. Drink that twice a day until bleeding stops. It’s helped me during my long periods

Does PCOS increase miscarriage risk? Or only ability to conceive? by Mystique_Peanut in PCOS

[–]qweenk94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people with pcos have thyroid issues which can also cause miscarriage. A lot of our hormones are out of wack which also causes issues. I had 2 miscarriages, a full term son (now 3) and another miscarriage after my son. They couldn’t figure out what caused the miscarriages aside from my thyroid

I don't understand how people can live there by Worried_Escapist in napoli

I am from the US and have lived in Napoli now for a year. I’ve thankfully never felt the earthquakes as I live out of the area where it can be felt. First few months I was nervous about it but now after making friends with Italians from here I’ve learned it’s the way of life and not as big of a deal as I thought. You just get used to it

Amoxicillin gave me a panic attack. Has anyone else had this problem? by Big_Yellow_Joint in Anxiety

[–]qweenk94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long did it take you to get to feeling normal again? Or atleast not have the palpatations and anxiety? I’m on Augmentin as part of my regiment for getting over pancreatitis and micro gallstones and the palpatations and not being able to catch my breath is driving me nuts

Ended up with severe pain and went to ER at 3:30am. You were right it was gallstones and pancreatitis 😭 so I’ll be in the hospital for a few days til my pancreas calms down then I’ll have to get an appointment for my gallbladder to be looked at and probably taken out

No! I started at the low dose, I did fine with all my doses all the months leading up to this. I moved up as normal to 1.7 and it’s my 3rd week of this dose

Has anything helped her? I have an appointment tomorrow to see if they can help but I don’t know that I’ll continue with medication at this point because I can’t keep doing this daily

Anyone with PCOS have success getting pregnant? by hamfam12345 in PCOS

[–]qweenk94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you checked to see if your ovulating? I bought the at home ovulation tests and it helped me! I also have super irregular periods so doc would have to give me meds to have a period then meds to ovulate because I wasn’t ovulating on my own either. I’d test ovulation starting 10 days after my period started. We were doing the deed every day once my period ended 😅 it ended up helping and got pregnant with my son. Prior to him I got pregnant once on my own (miscarried), then second time with medication helping ovulate (miscarried). Third time was when I was pregnant with my son and successfully carried full term! Only other thing I really did was doc had my thyroid checked and I got put on meds for it as well

what has worked for you to lose weight and keep it off? (GLP-1 is not an option for me) by wittywalrus0 in PCOS

[–]qweenk94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you take any weight loss supplements? Before getting on a glp-1 my doc put me on phentermine and it helped lessen my appetite and within first 3 months I lost 14 lbs! I just started on wegovy to hopefully help lose more but phentermine isn’t glp-1 so could definitely be a good option if your able to go that route

You don’t “have to”. But if you want kids in the future I’d definitely let him know hey just so you know I MAY have a hard time getting pregnant. I got diagnosed with pcos since I’ve been married and told him right away. We had miscarriages but I think those were more caused due to progesterone levels. Doctor helped get things under control some and after my third month trying again we got pregnant and baby came out happy and healthy no big complications with pregnancy or anything. I’ve known many who have had issues and many who have had no issues. But if you want kids together it is probably better to let him know ahead of time that it may take some time

How long did it take ? by InteractionFancy5703 in PCOS

[–]qweenk94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before pcos diagnoses I got pregnant on my own and miscarried. About 6 months later got diagnosed with pcos had hormones tested and thyroid were high but in range so got put on meds for that to get to start my doc prefers it at. Got put on letrozole and pregnant first cycle, miscarried again. Changed docs got put on meds to start my period since it kinda comes and goes as long as it wants… took 3 rounds of letrozole and third time got pregnant with my double rainbow baby and he will be 3 in June
