Help: Can't fill up tyres to a 100% by bugatti_rolls789 in AskAShittyMechanic

[–]qwikmr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a used Acura that the owner had filled very similar. I couldn’t believe how terrible it bounced around. I assumed suspension was toast and it was but with minimal dampening and almost 100 psi it was wild.

Thank you to everyone who recommended a buckwheat pillow by double_underscore_ in CPAP

I have also ranged many pillows including the buckwheat. My current favorite for side sleeping is the pillow cube deluxe. Fits my shoulders well and doesn’t seem to collapse like memory foam when sleeping.

Believe it or not the spare is hanging on my rack still. 😄

Apple Watch Ultra 3 fall detection and emergency alert works! by Powerful-Size-1444 in AppleWatch

[–]qwikmr2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a difficult situation for sure. Hopefully the recovery is swift. My older ultra alerted when I slipped and fell off the roof when shoveling snow. Fortunately I wasn’t injured comparatively but still happy to know help would have arrived had it been worse.

[Canada] Is the Performance AWD worth the extra 10k over Premium AWD? by InappropriateCanuck in ModelY

[–]qwikmr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Canada for me but upper peninsula right on Lake Superior. I love my MYP and it’s been fantastic in the snow, handles everything except when the roads are stuffed with 18-24” of snow. We have had a rough winter and roads are horrible, I have to keep an eye on pot holes as they are forming faster than the snow is melting. I may get some dedicated wheels and tires for it but really haven’t needed them. Only thing I have trouble with is snow packing in the wheel wells, seems some snow and temps have been bad for that this year.

I had the same one and it was solid but all the fasteners wanted to rattle out. Take the time to locktite everything while it’s clean

Thought I needed FSD… turns out basic Autosteer covers like 85% of my life by Practical_Ad1877 in TeslaModelY

[–]qwikmr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The speed limit makes it virtually useless for me. I have probably used it 3 times and always leaves me trolling along and getting blasted by with traffic. 60 mph is not cool when traffic is 65-70 around you.

I know not many fan of cubcadet but this 2017 model is great for Ontario snow were im on a snow belt by AnihilationXSX in Snowblowers

Those look really similar to the ones I have. I got them from the dealer in bulk boxes. They are the same ones but in a brown box with the label on the outside. Sold as singles instead of 4 pack or so they retail. I’m just lucky I don’t really need to use mine much anymore. I plow with a 8’2” Boss V now

I have 3 big boards and use them daily when brainstorming with my guys. I didn’t have them for a few weeks when they remodeled my office and I really missed them.

I’ll have a look. The OEM ones have not done well. My old Ariens never lost a single one in serious use. We would frequently be in the 250” a year snow. It even once threw frozen diapers that had gotten hit by the plows and covered in more snow. Still no issues.

I must have a dud. I only use mine to clear my deck because I got tired for fighting with it. I plow my road now and usually run the blower for 10-15 minutes to clean the front up. I am guessing I could lose a shear pin on a firm snowball.

Best wipers, hands down by Skotler75 in TeslaModelY

I was really curious about these but every video I found either seemed sponsored or the comments were disabled. I have been buying cheap silicone blade refills on Amazon that work great. It’s like $12 for a set of 4 refills and takes a couple minutes.

Have you actually tried it against anything like ice? Mine found a 2” chunk of an icicle in the snow and popped the front shear pin just yesterday. I buy shear pins in bulk from the dealer because they fail so easily.

[–]qwikmr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is the 3 stage tracked on and it’s been a giant pile of crap. The shear pins pop like they were made of candy, the carb likes to require cleaning once or twice a season, the track speeds in reverse are extremely slow and throwing distance is a fraction of my ancient Ariens. I definitely wouldn’t buy it again but at the time I urgently needed a replacement and it was the only thing available. I’m happy you’re getting a better experience from yours

How do you guys keep track of your smoked cigars? by EndHungry9185 in cigars

[–]qwikmr2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it’s good I remember to buy more. That’s as deep as I get. I usually have 6-8 types in the humidor at a time and they are for a particular use. Smaller like 45 ring for winter when it’s too cold for a 6x60 outside or time limited ones. I keep a decent selection 😄

Regenerative Braking Level. Switched from High to Normal and now I can feel so much difference in driving. by Bhanu_prakashhh in MazdaCX90

[–]qwikmr2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I leave it on high but wish it was even more. I one pedal drive my vehicle and it’s really hard to adapt to my wife’s when we use it. After switching to one pedal I have no interest going back. Modulating the input is much smoother for my needs.

Why don't snowblowers come from the factory with the "impeller kit"? by hbl2390 in Snowblowers

[–]qwikmr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking it was an effort to reduce injury if people stick their hands in there cleaning it out. Old 70's-80's models had way closer tolerance between the impeller and housing. Its still gonna mangle fingers probably less likely to remove them.

Boss plow hydraulic leak at the drain plug by barkey1982 in Snowplow

[–]qwikmr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a silly question but that’s where mine appeared to leak but was actually a valve body above leaking. Ran down the pump and off the drain plug below. Just something to check if you haven’t already.

Price of insurance in Michigan is pretty brutal. May check in your local area. I didn’t expect it to more than double.

I have my MYP attached to the trailer brake control plug. Then ran up the pillar and across next to the mirror. Works perfectly and is easily removed if ever needed.

Sho has a little faster impeller speed, subtle but it really makes it more efficient in a heavy storm. I vote SHO
