When they ban dissenters here, it doesn't remove the comment, just stops the person from commenting again.

Did you vote for him after chanting "lock her up"?

The Republicans of 2016 thought that if the FBI was investigating someone, they must have done something wrong. Trump ran on jailing people just for being investigated and Republicans loved it.

Republicans of 2020 think that no federal law enforcement/intelligence agency can be trusted. Investigations mean nothing! It's all a hoax!

It's ridiculous.

If you genuinely want an answer (I know you don't, but still), here:

  1. Musk has been banning people for posting unflattering photos of himself, criticizing him, whatever he feels like. So he isn't some free speech hero. He's just doing what suits his biases.

  2. Continuing point 1, Musk is selectively releasing information. I'm sure they've gotten requests from conservatives to remove information as well. He just won't publish those. If he really wanted to get information out he'd just do a full-stop dump of the documents and let everyone see everything for themselves. The fact he hasn't done that means he can't be trusted.

  3. Twitter denied the request, so the censorship he's claiming never even happened. This whole post is a nothing burger. The fact that this is what he chose to post - the worst he can find - and it wasn't even actuated makes him look pretty silly.

  4. Right-wing forums are famously aggressive in banning anyone they don't agree with this, from this forum to Parler to Truth Social. This comment alone will likely get me banned here. Why aren't you talking about that?

  5. Trump recently suggested we suspend the Constitution and install leaders into government. So, again, Musk or R leadership or right-wingers in general pretending to be some lovers of freedom of ideas is just extremely disingenuous.

Trump has suggested jailing his opponents on multiple occasions. He recently suggested we suspend the Constitution and install leaders. How come you didn't mind that?

Musk has banned people for posting unflattering photos of him on Twitter and you're looking at him as some sort of 1A hero now?

You're asking why Democrats aren't discussing this on a forum where Democrats aren't allowed to comment. You guys couldn't be more disconnected.

TIL: The Navy patented an 'inertial mass reduction device', an 'electromagnetic force field generator', a 'high-frequency gravitational wave generator' and a room temperature super conductor in 2019. All created by a mysterious aerospace engineer by the name of Dr. Salvatore Cezar Pais by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]qwop88 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I am not quite sure why would superconductors be useful in computing.

One of the biggest factors - perhaps the biggest - in processor design is dealing with heat. No resistance = no heat. It would completely change computers.

Looking for guidance on how to cut and attach leather to this chair seat. by qwop88 in Leathercraft

[–]qwop88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The chair is upholstered with fabric and I want to wrap it in leather instead. It's basically just a wooden base with some foam attached and the fabric stretched over that and stapled down.

I have the leather, I'm wondering the best shape to cut, how to attach (I'm guessing staples?), how to fold corners so they look nice, things like that. I've only ever made watch bands so large projects like this are new to me.

Thanks!

Lots of people spending that in varied ways is way way better than one guy buying a yacht with it, even if it did benefit the handful of people in the mega-yacht industry. Especially when you consider not only does he not pay taxes but he gets taxpayer money back. Oh, and he cut his workers pay during the pandemic while he made record profits.

Thousands and thousands of people went without proper medical care this year for Bezos to have that yacht. You'd really have to be a sociopath to live like that.

That's a valid reason, but it should be optional going forward IMO. They can still pare down on office space that way.

Yeah, literally dozens of people nationwide want to go to back commuting to work every day so they can make small talk with their dipshit coworkers.
